5 /5 Jeffery Clark: Stopped in after a visit to SAM. Didnt realize it was inside the Four Seasons hotel until i arrived. Was greeted by the pleasant reception staff and a modern and relaxed feeling decor accentuated by the view of Puget Sound and the Wheel. After check-in, they hostess showed me to our window table to enjoy the view.
Arriving just before 5pm, their happy hour menu was available (very surprising for a Saturday). The options were varied and well priced. Ordered oysters, clam chowder, wagyu sliders, and eventually added a dessert. I dont remember the name of the dessert, but it was definitely the crown on an amazing dinner.
The oysters were fresh with the slightest hint of Britney flavor and complemented by mingonette.
The chowder was well made with a healthy mix of clams and a bonus of snow crab meat in the mix.
The sliders were perfectly cooked, a balance between rare and medium-rare, just how i like. Bun was fresh, and condiments and toppings were well balanced to prevent overwhelming the wagyu.
The dessert was a wonderful combination of flavors, (lemon ginger ice cream, cocoa, matcha, black sesame) and textures (crunchy, fluffy, )creamy all melding together in different combinations with each bite.
An extremely satisfying experience from start to finish.
Before deciding on the dessert, I contemplated a dish from the dinner menu. The options looked amazing, but I was afraid it would be too much and decrease my overall enjoyment of what I had already enjoyed, so went with the dessert. I plan to return for dinner to enjoy that experience.
