Carmines - Bellevue (WA)

5 /5 Wei: Lovely Italian restaurant with a cozy and lively atmosphere. The portions are generous and the service is excellent — they kept refilling our water and often checked if we needed anything or had any questions. The shrimp fettuccine was flavorful, the soup was quite good, and the latte was a bit strong. We sat by the window with a nice view. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience!

3 /5 Sabrina P: Visiting in bellvue from Canada and heard wonderful things about Carmines. It was last minute so we called and the wonderful hostess was able to get us a reservation for the evening. We arrived at our reserved time and was seated on the beautiful outdoor patio. We also advised the server that we were celebrating multiple birthdays and a cute birthday card was set up at our table. The start of the evening was great, from the service, ordering wine and receiving our appetizers very quickly. Unfortunately things went downhill after we noticed multiple tables that were sat after us receiving their appetizers, entrees and desserts while we were still waiting for our entree. After an hour our waiter came by and we asked what the delay was, he checked on with the kitchen and said our meals would be out shortly and that the manager was also aware. Our food arrived 5 mins after I advised the waiter that we had other plans for the evening and needed to head out soon. The food was okay, the halibut was cooked beautifully but the risotto was under cooked and hard. Calamari and rigatoni bolegngese were delicious. After all this our waiter brought out 1 piece of tirimasu with 2 candles for 2 birthdays. While we appreciated the sweet treat and didnt expect free dessert, we do wish there was more thought into that after waiting so long for our food. We wished we spoke to the manager about our experience before leaving as we dont feel that service was up to par to the reviews for this restaurant. I would return in the future hoping for a better experience. The ambiance, atmosphere and decor of the restaurant is great.

4 /5 Chloe L: This place has decent Italian food. Obviously not comparable to that of Italy or of some other Italian restaurants in the area, but still okay. I mainly like this place because it is great for a celebratory event, especially a birthday. If that’s what’s on the agenda, this is a perfect place! Otherwise, it’s a bit pricey for decent Italian food.

5 /5 Molly Cebulla: My fiancée and I are getting married in a few days, and wanted one more fancy dinner before our wedding. This place was recommended to me by a client of mine who is a bartender here, I think his name is Drew. He mentioned its owned by the same people who used to own another restaurant my fiancée loved going to. The host staff was amazing and able to move our reservation up by an hour since we were so early getting into town. Our server, Miguel, was phenomenal. So attentive and polite, it seemed like nothing was going to break his stride. Despite there being some loud parties happening around us, the atmosphere was incredible, and the food was to die for. The entire ride home, my fiancée was just talking about how good the left overs were going to be for lunch tomorrow. 10/5 stars, will ABSOLUTELY be coming here again!!
