5 /5 Brittany Garrison: The beignets were absolutely amazing—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and dusted just right. The chicken tenders? Huge and packed with flavor! These aren’t your average tenders either. As for the mac & cheese, you can tell it’s made with a roux....creamy, rich, and comforting. Every bite feels like a little taste of home. Hale’s Kitchen really knows how to bring the comfort with a twist!

5 /5 That Girl: Yeah wow their fried chicken tenders are friggin delicious, no joke! Perfectly crispy, not an over amount of breading like some places and man oh man they melt in your mouth. Their max n cheese is real cheese too. Not the velveta cream kind, real cheese. Don’t see that too often anywhere. The fries were also real homemade kind too. I don’t get a chance to try their coleslaw, next time tho. I Didn’t have to wait because I called my order in ahead and it was ready 5min before they said it would be ready, nice n hot n fresh. Prices seemed reasonable to me especially for “real” food, not fresh frozen. I dropped a pin on this place I’ll be back.

5 /5 Tab Jewell: WOW! We stopped in on a suggestion of a friend and we were very very pleased. The service was awesome, thank you Landry, Jamel, and the girl at the front (I didn’t get your name) - everyone who was so amazing. The FOOD. The food. I have never been so satisfied from a meal. We got 2 chicken tender meals and a chicken & waffle…. I genuinely am so pleased. The chicken was crispy, and juicy with great seasoning. The waffle was INCREDIBLE with some cinnamon and powdered sugar. Fries seasoned well, great homemade ranch, coleslaw that was perfect (I’m very picky). Also, Mac n cheese was good! I ate more food than I have in a while and I would do it again in a heartbeat here. Extremely happy with the service and food.

5 /5 Bree Jenkins: The food was really good. The shrimp poboy was delicious- not an exact match but impressive, and the Mac and cheese was proper and well seasoned. I wasn’t expecting much in this small town in terms of soul food, so I was pleasantly surprised, especially because I’m from New Orleans! But the chicken tenders were well seasoned and perfectly fried and the music and vibes in the small restaurant were cozy. The fresh lemonade was a tad sour, but it was an easy fix with a sugar packet. I would def recommend this place for some good home cooked soul food!

4 /5 Leander Vandefen: Proper Southern homestyle in Oak Harbor. I had a 3 piece chicken tenders with fried pickles and mac n cheese as my sides. The chicken was well seasoned and had more than a hint of Cajun flavor to it. I got the ‘Crack sauce’ and it lived up to the name. The meal also came with a slice of Texas toast and a fountain drink. Despite my hunger I was unable to finish the fried pickles, they really load you up!
