5 /5 Richard Macik: I got the brisket plate. Side of Mac and cheese, cowboy baked beans. Brisket was fantastic. Nice bark Moist and falls apart as it melts in you mouth. M&C along with the beans were a perfect compliment. Live music and a cold beer with delicious food on the grass is my kind of bliss. Thanks guys!

5 /5 Paula: Our first stop on Orcas Island after exiting the ferry was Matthew’s and we are glad we did. Arrived about 5:30 and were able to immediately order. When we departed, there was quite a long line and the parking lot was nearly full. It was a Friday evening. The brisket - seriously - was some of the best I’ve ever had. It melted in your mouth and you did not need a knife - just a fork- to pry it open and enjoy! My husband enjoy his pulled pork sandwich as well. We sat outside on the patio on this beautiful June evening and the music they had playing was actually awesome.

2 /5 John: The good, the collards are excellent, the BBQ sauce is spicy with black pepper, very nice. The Mac and Cheese was blah, the corn was cold and average. The meat was bad, clearly sat around for FAR too long ribs dry like cardboard, brisket dry like rawhide, it was all like warm. The place has 100 people here, you cannot cook BBQ 1 day a week and serve it. BBQ that sits around goes to shit. Cook it and serve it, it was likely good when you took it off the fire. I recommend going anywhere else.

5 /5 Maddie Canty-Gill: Matts BBQ is absolutely delicious! We not only have eaten at his restaurant, but we also had him cater our wedding on Orcas Island! Our guests agreed with us that the BBQ was exceptional and not just ordinary BBQ. The home made sauces that he makes are so delicious as well. Would definitely recommend eating here.
