5 /5 Mike Bensussen: Im a sucker for Mediterranean food. The problem is that there are so many restaurants in this area that you could end up with some totally sub-par food. That said, Old Mediterranean Kitchen is an absolute diamond in the rough! I visited on a hot summer day when it was much nicer to sit outside than in. Their restaurant is very clean and well kept from what I observed. The patio area is pleasant and street side, but does share a space with a neighboring business. All this meant was that there were a lot of people coming and going. That did not bother me at all, as I was beyond enthralled with the quality and flavor of the excellent food here. After reviewing the awesome menu, I selected the salmon dinner. Immediately I was served pita with pita sauce, which was delectable. The salmon, when it came out only a short time later, was perfectly cooked. The dish was seasoned so well that I was reminded food can still have flavor, but also not so much so that you dont taste the fish. Complimenting the chef, I was enticed to order their Baklava which I savored later that evening, and even the next morning. Service was amazing, the portion was massive and quality was excellent and very flavorful. Highly recommend this joint, and I will definitely be returning every time Im in town.
