3 /5 Regina Kopeck: We came in as a group of 5 adults and 6 kids (basically a traveling circus), and the staff acted like we’d just crashed their private party. From the second we walked in, the vibe was icy. Since we weren’t sure if we were eating, we got shuffled off to the beer garden — picnic tables under a big tent. Not exactly cozy, but fine.
When it came time to order, the bartenders looked personally offended that we had questions. For $27, I got a flight of five 4oz pours plus a 16oz beer. The beer? Genuinely good. The service? Let’s just say I’ve had warmer welcomes at the DMV.
It’s a shame, really. The staff clearly had a rough tourist season and are now taking it out on anyone daring to show up in the shoulder season. If you go, don’t expect smiles, friendliness, or even basic eye contact — consider it a victory if they acknowledge your existence.
Bottom line: Great beer, bad vibes. Come for the pints, not the people.
