4 /5 Jake Goodwin: We have seen this restaurant at the top of many suggested restaurant lists for the city of Anacortes beyond just Google Maps. So its long been on our to-do list for trying a restaurant in Anacortes. The high marks and praise are well earned and the folks at Tasha Lees should be proud of the food they are serving. The stand out star of the meal was without a doubt the African Spiced Fried Cauliflower. My S.O. and I kept commenting to each other how much we wish we had more of that dish throughout the entire meal. Our other appetizer was the pork belly. While it was good it failed to stand out against the cauliflower. Our entrees were the smash burger which had the correct balance of being not too messy and providing the juiciness youd expect from a double patty burger and the gyro which was enough to scratch the itch for myself whos still searching for a great gyro/shawarma place in the Skagit/Whatcom county area. Both entrees came with a small but delicious portion of fries. The veggies on the gyro were fresh and didnt taste or have the texture of old or wilted veggies. Service was good and as expected. Atmosphere was pretty generic for a Saturday afternoon. This place definitely goes on the "will go again list" for us.
