2 /5 Mary: The fried chicken sandwich was decent, but I would order something else if you expect a true fried chicken flavor. The loaded fries, was the best item our table ordered, they had a good flavor and the bacon was cooked nicely. The first time we ate here it was a full service sit down restaurant. Now, you take a menu, choose a seat and order at a counter like a fast food place and then have an overly priced entree for the overall experience. The reason for such a poor review is the food did not match the menu description, which caused massive distress and distrust in the entire restaurant. It wasnt just a flavor, but items cooked with alcohol were served to children. The owner claimed alcohol fully cooks out of food, and claimed its fully safe for children and pregnant women, but I doubt the mac n cheese simmers for 4 plus hours to remove remnants of alcohol, in which case, alcohol is present in the food. It was requested to have the food tested for alcohol, and the request was treated as if it were absolutely outrageous. If the menu stated that it was cooked with beer, it would not have been ordered. The kids menu states "Kraft", the regular menu only states mac n cheese. Refunds were offered, but not accepted as money is not the issue. Safety of food should be any restaurants concern. Menus state gluten free, may contain nuts or may be prepared in the vicinity of...., but a simple meal that normally would not contain beer, and the menu does not state beer anywhere, but shows up with beer being included in the ingredients, should not be served to young, very young children by a restaurant. The mac n cheese was removed from the child after I took a bite and realized it had beer in it by the extensive flavor.
