1 /5 Nella: Ill try and condense my experience as much as I can.
I saw Adams after being injured at work, starting in January 2022. It was L&I so that made things even worse, as I was limited to my choice of provider. I also was working light duty, but it was nightshift. It was very difficult to get appointments scheduled without sacrificing sleep. Which is why I stuck with Adams for so long.
During my first appointment, Adams did a mediocre exam and told me I had a thigh strain. I was sent to PT, which of course didnt help. My symptoms got worse. He never physically examined me after that initial visit. He stood behind the computer, and never even checked my blood pressure. For almost 6 months he talked down to me, refused to listen when I told him I was concerned this wasnt healing. He often interrupted me, and acted like I was being difficult on purpose. The things he said to me were so inappropriate (he told me I would get fired. He told me it was "impossible" it was a blood clot when I told him my family history of them. Trying to scare me and intimidate me away from medical tests.) He wasnt helping me stay informed. He was being a bully.
He tried to get me to go back to full duty, I refused because I knew I couldnt do it. For someone who didnt do physical exams, Im curious how he knew I was was fit enough.
After a while, he finally ordered a MRI, which didnt show a tear, so he tried to send me back to full duty. I put my foot down. I saw multiple docs for second opinions (which were colleagues of his so... sorry I dont trust them at all.) He also missed two online appointments (which were his idea in the first place.) I said repeatedly I would do whatever it takes to get healed, but I will not do anything until a proper, exact diagnosis. It matters because the wrong PT can lead to worsening of the injury. I also refused pain meds, I dont want them I want medical answers!! I was in tears after every single appointment.
When I finally stood up to him and told him him to stop interrupting me, he described me in his notes as "irritable." I was calm and firm, not rude or yelling. I even had to bring a witness for my final appointment (my mom) and she was very upset at the way he treated us.
Adams is unbearably rude, condescending, and frankly the most unprofessional doctor Ive ever had the displeasure of seeing. His lack of real medical care, and his clearly biased thinking, left me without answers. Adams should not be allowed to practice medicine. If you get a referral to see Adams, ask for another physician. This man is horrible and even if he can help, it seems he doesnt want to. A formal complaint is in the works. I am so scared he is medically gaslighting others and causing immeasurable ha
