Automotive Diagnostic Center Inc - Marysville Rob Leingang U2: I stopped in because I needed a simple battery install. I had the brand new battery but didnt have my tools with me. They said they could do the job which took a total of 9 minutes and I was charged for 1/3 of an hour. A simple battery install for $72 and Yes I brought the battery with me. I needed the job done in order to make sure I didnt get stranded with my kiddo. Long and short of it, they took advantage of the situation and me. You be the judge, but these are the type of ethics I avoid and pass on to my extensive network of consumers. Moral of the story make sure you have basic tools hidden away in your vehicle that are out of plain view and not a theft risk. For 72 bucks I could have bought the tools at harbor freight and gone out for dinner with my daughter.
Canavans Automotive Repair - Marysville JJ Lynn: We had a issue with our wiring for trailer connector plug. Called James. He worked us in (on a Friday) and was able to promptly repair it. He was professional, courteous and offered us a fair price for the repair. He is a local, small business and I definitely recommend calling him for any opinions on repairs!
Rutts Automotive - Marysville Oregon 54: First off, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP! Long review, but heres the deal. Hard to find a trustworthy mechanic that aint gonna nickel and dime you for everything, especially if they didnt do the work right, the first time. But based on my experience, Been here 3 times, first time to do a tune up essentially, A/C was my biggest problem I needed worked on. Worked for a few months then stopped working, took it back in under "warranty" since it hadnt been a year, diagnosed it, charged me for diagnosing, parts, labor oh, and apparently they forgot to install motor mount from the previous time, asked me if they can go ahead and do all that, well, what am I gonna say no, let me go to a different mechanic for them to do it "cheaper", no, my car was already there, take care of it. $600+ later. Mind you I went in there for them to do warranty work on my A/C! Left there, and a few weeks later, warm weather, turned on A/C and still blowing warm air. Ok, called Rutts let him know same issue, brought it down, they took a deeper look at it, blah blah, came out with what I took it ass a "f off" quote of over $2000. Now, why didnt yall come up with this diagnosis the first time? Ive been here 3 different times, paid over $2000 prior to have yall do work on my car, main issue was the A/C and to this day, still hasnt been working properly.
Definitely not a trustworthy shop, and unfortunately hard to find good mechanics that aint gonna gouge you and be up front. Do your research, hard to get different quotes when your vehicle is already in a shop, but definitely do research and be ready to pay out the rear end. This is just based off my experience , I read their reviews prior to coming here and thought they’d be an honest shop, but nope, I was wrong! Will not go here ever again. I’d recommend Tall Guy Small Guy instead! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP!
