1 /5 Taylor Pugh: Charleston cutshop never confirmed my appointment, and then sent me an angry text saying that I no called and no showed. They never confirmed it, so I never received a text or an email. When I explained to them that I never received a confirmation message to my phone or email, they just kept responding "Yes you did" Unprofessional, they dont do things properly on their end and then take it out on the customer. Edit: And again in their reply they lie. I did not confirm I was going to be there, the notification I mentioned was the pop up Window on Vagaro. I sent them my emails, and they still insist I received them even though I never got a confirmation. Both of my appointments I have tried to book through them had always shown the status "Awaiting Confirmation" I never received a text or email saying that the appointment was confirmed, and even on Vagaro the appointments show "Awaiting Confirmation"

5 /5 Julia Ratliff: Very nice place, patient stylist (mine was Kayla Calhoon-Renzo). She was gentle with my hair and took her time cutting it. I have thick hair and got a short wolf cut, so Im glad that she was careful with it. She also talked me through what she was doing. I will go again when my hair grows out!

Tara Elken: Lengthy visit. Owner/Operator has a lovely personality. Working mom. If you are looking for "glamorous". This is not the place. Hair services were my visit. The environment is down to earth. Chatty. If you are on a tight schedule or easily over stimulated I would suggest that you call ahead and specify your needs. A tad on the expensive side but not executive level. I recommend you visit here at least once or twice. You might just fall in love.

My daughter is 6 and has a hard time sitting still but Kenz was amazing with her and was able to give her a beautiful haircut. I changed my hair style as Ive had. the same haircut for about 15 years. Showed Kenz the picture and my hair is exactly what I showed her. This is our second time with Kenz cutting our hair and now I wont go anywhere else. Also the salon is beautiful and right on the water.

Angelina McCumber: I should have done this last February when I got to experience Chong. I had a haircut, and she was extremely open to my suggestion, but she was also a great student of a clients character and knew what hair style would fit me as an individual. She did not rush at all. In fact, she took her time to make sure that my haircut was up to par. I wanted my hair colored, but she firmly explained to me that during that time, a perm would ruin my still dyed hair. She was definitely not all about the money. I consider her to be an artist and a very loving person because she even suggested that I can go somewhere else if I really wanted a perm because she cared more about how my hair should be taken care of so that it wont end up damaged. We spent the whole time talking about me. She is an empath, and for some reason, I opened up to her that day because I was going through something. She genuinely cared, and I felt seen and heard. She even drove me home! The next day, I asked if we could work on my haircut a bit more, and she was so gracious about it. Unlike other salons, she never charged me for extra work. I remember that she styled my hair because it was the weekend, and jokingly said that I deserve a "weekend look!" When I mentioned that I wish I could do the styling myself at home for special occasions but did not have the proper instrument, she had an extra one and gave it to me. I went to her salon to look good, but I ended up having a great relationship and went home knowing I had a new friend who might have my back if I needed her. I would like for you to receive the treatment she gave me! This is why I wrote a lengthy review.

DUSTIN ROBILLARD: The young man that did my cut was GREAT. The atmosphere is very upbeat with hip hop/rap playing in the background, a pool table you can play on while you wait. All in all, its a generally good vibe. My barber was very pleasant to talk to and was attentive to what I wanted done with my cut. I asked if be also did beard grooming, and he said yes. To wit, I got a great trim on that as well. Im a 50 year old man, and the barbers that were there were on the younger side (mine was 24 iirc) but I didnt feel at all out of place. The other barbers that were there were very cordial as well. They dont do appointments, which was fine for me. Total time for a month long needed cut and beard trim was about 35-45 minutes. The price was as to be expected ($50 total after 25% gratuity). Ill do my walk-ins here from now on. Sorry, no photo available.

Kam San: Ive tried to book several appointments with Taylor but it seems like if her books arent full for the day, shell cancel on you. Vagaro lets you book with stylists based on their availability that they set themselves, and its up to them to accept it. She isnt great about accepting within a reasonable time frame. First she cancelled on me because she wasnt she wasnt feeling good. A week later, she still didnt accept my new appointment even though she texted me that she would. Today (my new appointment date) she canceled on me because she has to attend a funeral. But posted on social media that life has been great. Terrible customer service. If you need to take time off, close your books for those dates instead of wasting peoples time. If life did happen, her cancelling still seems to be a trend. She has also cancelled with other friends of mine and I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt because I love her work and she has done my hair once before. I do NOT recommend booking with her.
