5 /5 Christopher: It’s a 1 mile hike to the falls, it’s uphill at first then levels out. There’s no signage for the falls except right before you get to it. To get there go through the two metal poles in the parking lot and continue straight until you come across a sign that says Zach’s landing. Go to the right of the Zach’s landing sign and continue straight until you see the sign for the falls. Note: There are black bears in the area during summer.

5 /5 Bassett William (Will): Update: 2 years later, this is still an amazing place to visit. A rainy winter day brings out a whole different energy. The gem of the Dickerson Creek Waterfall Trailhead. At the end of a walk/relatively easy hike it’s always nice to have a payoff, and this waterfall hits the spot. It’s gorgeous, strong, and loud. There’s even a log nearby you can sit on to soak in the experience. If you go further down, you’ll find other places to rest near the continuing stream. I call this an easy hike/walk partly because it is very accessible: people had strollers, dogs, children, etc. If you’re out that way and looking for something to do in nice weather, it sets up for a good day.

5 /5 Jessica Alexander: Great waterfall! Definitely take the small path to the left of the parking lot marked by two metal posts and walk the quarry road. The other trail had lots of puddles and was strenuous at times. The waterfall has no sign on the post but youll take a right to a foot bridge that goes over the top and hike down.

5 /5 Roanne Dela Cruz: Fairly easy walk from parking lot to the falls. Gets a little narrow and obviously damp getting to the actual falls. Can get crowded at the actual falls but everyone has been pleasant and doesnt stay too long. Its really lovely.

5 /5 Thibodeaux Iconic (Iconic Thibodeaux): This was a fun little evening hike we did to end a birthday celebration. My 6 year old got up to the fall fine. Nice views and lots of shade. We rested by the water for a good while before heading back. Plenty of free parking.

Mary Shams: Such a nice little park. It has a really great adventure trail so you can take kids for a walk in the woods and theres plenty to keep them entertained. I love how this park is usually pretty empty. Theres also a nice covered picnic area and soccer fields as well!

Log Cabin Museum - Port Orchard

Mariah Ham: The view from that hill is awesome. We went for there FREE pictures with Santa. A beautifully decorated tree near a warm fire place and a vintage bench seat with Santa, who has a real beard and plays the role. You bring your own camera, if you want to be in the photo they are happy to help. Quant cute little cabin that has events year round.

Feel the nice cool breeze on skin. Listen to the waves. Watch the birds. Stop by one of the local bars or restaurants. Perfect place to unwind and relax.

Veterans Living History Museum - Port Orchard

Yvonne Gal-Van: This is an impressive private collection of Military memorabilia. Dale met us at the door and was so welcoming and kind. We hung out for about 30 minutes. He walked us through the collection and he told us stories about the items, the folks and about the related conflict or war. Dale is a wealth of historical knowledge. I cant believe how much he knows and remembers. This is one of those places that every time you visit, Im sure you will find something new to talk about or see. A must visit for anyone that enjoys military history. Date of experience: August 2024

Priscilla: One of the coolest experiences you can ever do in Port Orchard. The train ride is absolutely beautiful. We took our 6 month old. She absolutely loved it. If you do have a little one remember to bring a baby carrier. That way your little one can go on with you. It’s one of the rules.

Howe Farm County Park - Port Orchard

Mazzetta Marco: I recently visited Howe Farm County Park and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The park is beautiful and well-maintained. The dog park was one of the coolest Ive ever seen. The dense forest trail provided a unique and exciting experience for both myself and my furry friend. It was a great opportunity for my dog to explore new sights and smells, and we both enjoyed walking through the trees. In addition to the forest trail, the dog park also had a big field where the dogs could run around. The size of the park was also impressive - there was plenty of space for all the dogs to play without feeling cramped or crowded. I would highly recommend Howe Farm County Park to anyone looking for a great dog park experience. The combination of the forest trail and big field make it a unique and exciting destination that is sure to please both dogs and their owners. Five stars all around!

Halls Hill Lookout and Labyrinth - Bainbridge Island

Nicole White: A hidden gem of a park. Very tranquil and reflective place to meditate, walk the labyrinth, and soak in the nature around you. Not much parking so go during low crowds. It was a beautiful day when we stopped by.

Pomeroy Park Boat Ramp - Port Orchard

Tabitha #: I cant believe this was my first time here! I really enjoyed the beach and the sand was so soft. I wish it had a bigger beach part but definitely worth going. My daughter and I let the dog play made a sand castle looked for crabs and shells and relaxed with a picnic it was a great place to visit. And I almost forgot the view of Seattle and Mt. Rainier was stunning!
