Young and young at heart were in attendance to see Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus, and to help do a countdown to light the tree! Well attended, plentiful parking, with room to spare, for social distancing.
Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park - Renton Jennifer Flores: Its a lovely park with planting of parking and a wonderful waterfront. I did wonder, since there were a few signs, if its ever safe to swim there because they have an awesome swimming area complete with sandy beach, jumping platform, ladders, sitting ledge, and barrier. But gosh, the sunset over the Olympic Mountain range was breathtaking.
Riverview Park - Renton Wildcraft Rose: Adequate parking, well maintained park, dog friendly, has restrooms, picnic tables, and a shelter. A forest filled with beautiful large old trees and open meadows. The trail follows a historic railroad route. Its paved, ADA accessible. Enjoyed by bicyclists, joggers, walkers. There are also off the main trail narrow side paths. Such a peaceful river walk.
Renton History Museum - Renton Tony Da-Tiger: I absolutely love this place got to get in free for raging river days and what a great place is it talks about the early history how Fairwood was home to a lot of different people. Just a great great thing to throwback some of Renton’s history. So much is not talked about but there’s a lot to come in and see. I highly recommend it.
Town Square Park - Federal Way Sundas Waheed: Its a great park. The zip line is a fav among kids. Its clean and the track is pretty long..i just took off a star coz there is barely any trees in the park..so there isnt a lot of area with shade. On a bright sunny day,u can get pretty hot. They do have covered area with tables but it gets filled pretty fast. If u wanna come here to grab a table,u should come a bit early. The sprinklers are so fun for the kids. My son really enjoyed this place. Will surely come back
West Hylebos Wetlands Park - Federal Way Kevin Vickery: Great little urban park, just off 348th. Nice place to connect with nature and breathe some fresh air. The boardwalk leads to a small lake, which typically has ducks and other creatures in and around the water. The trail is lined with various trees and plants, many noted with educational signs.
Pacific Bonsai Museum - Federal Way Robert Reedy: Beautiful, and entry fee is by donation, with $12 being the totally reasonable suggestion.
Its right next to the Rhododendron gardens which cost.
The trees are incredible, with some dating to the early 1800s.
Highly recommend.

Steel Lake Park - Federal Way Ahmad Bhatti: You can hunt fish, it’s allowed to swim with kids, although water was not clean. Restrooms were also not cleaned. Park was excellent and water presence makes it amazing. You can also buy eatables for children within the park. Good park!!!
