Ahmad Bhatti: You can hunt fish, it’s allowed to swim with kids, although water was not clean. Restrooms were also not cleaned. Park was excellent and water presence makes it amazing. You can also buy eatables for children within the park. Good park!!!
Dash Point State Park - Federal Way
    Dash Point State Park
Fiona Wilson: Went camping with my scout troop here two weekends ago, had a blast! I led a 5 mile hike using AllTrails, and we did the orienteering course available in the park. The dozens of unique trails are well cared for with cool features that made the hike interesting and meaningful. We also went on a beach walk to the nearby seaside town and although it was quite wet and sandy, we went during low tide so there was a lot to see. We stayed in the group campsite, which was spacious enough for my large troop and, like the trails, well cared for. Definitely would come back!
Chihuly Bridge of Glass - Tacoma
    Chihuly Bridge of Glass
Mariana G: Highly recommend checking out the Bridge of Glass if you’re in Tacoma. It’s a pedestrian bridge that connects the Museum of Glass with downtown Tacoma. It has three breathtaking Chihuly glass installations, and it’s free! My favorite part is the Seaform Pavilion, the covered portion of the bridge which showcases colorful marine-life inspired glass works on the ceiling (2,364 pieces, to be exact!).
Viewpointe at Redondo - Federal Way
    Viewpointe at Redondo
Mark Hitchcock: Looking for a magical holiday light display you can enjoy from the comfort of your car? Head to the Viewpoint at Redondo neighborhood in Des Moines, Washington! Just a few blocks from the Redondo Beach boardwalk, this community lights up the season with stunning decorations—and they’ve been hosting a holiday food drive for as long as we can remember. The best part? It’s free to attend! But if you can, bring along a non-perishable food donation to spread the holiday spirit even further. Catch the lights nightly from 6 PM to 10 PM, December 1st through January 1st. Don’t miss this chance to make your season brighter while giving back!
Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden - Federal Way
    Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden
Herb Stubblefield: These are amazing gardens. We loved the great variety of rhododendrons and azaleas. The park is easy access from the freeway and once you enter, it feels like you stepped into a well groomed garden far away. This is a hidden gem and I recommend it for any visitors wishing to escape some of the more touristy places while visiting Seattle. Parking is free and prices are $10 per person with discounts for seniors and military.
Dumas Bay Sanctuary - Federal Way
    Dumas Bay Sanctuary
Clover Connections: Easy to find by GPS. Good parking lot, entrance just past the house. It might be difficult to get through the gate with a bicycle or stroller, with its turnstile like structure. Short path to bay. At low tide, you will smell the pungent seaweed smell. Lots of sandbars though to walk out on. Great, expansive view of Puget Sound.
