Frenchmans Bar Regional Park - Vancouver (WA)

5 /5 S P R: Such a great spot to set up your own grill & chill! $3 entry fee, usually packed on the weekends but plenty of parking during weekdays. Great long winding paved path along the river line for strolling, roller skating, jogging, cycling, etc. A favorite for families and dog parents!

4 /5 Savannah Rodriguez: Wonderfully close to the Vancouver downtown area. Long stretch of a beach, with sand. Sand is a little rocky and not as smooth/fine as other sand beaches. Some pieces of broken glass were found, there is a no glass rule. So, please abide by this rule and keep everyones feet safe from cuts. A small parking fee to enter ($2/motorcycle, $3/car, $6/ car with trailer). They do have an option for purchasing an annual pass. Play ground, beach volley ball courts, and covered picnic areas are available. Wonderful place to watch the sunset go down, since it faces West. Which is what we did!

5 /5 Squiffy Bumbo: I rather enjoyed my experience at this park/nature trail. There is something for everyone here. The staff are friendly and helpful. The paths are spacious, in good repair, and kept free of debris by competent park personnel. There are climbing structures, picnic tables, event areas, a beach volleyball/badminton/net sports area, scenic viewpoint, and nature galore along the mighty Columbia River. The trails are accessible and accommodating. As the pathways are primarily in open areas, there is not a lot of shade, so be sure to put on extra sunscreen, maybe wear a hat, and stay hydrated

5 /5 Ken Spurlock: This is a fun park with migratory birds in the spring and winter. Walking trails as well as a sandy beach. It is located on the Columbia River. Across from Sauvie Island in Oregon. $3 admission or $30 for annual pass for Clark County parks..

4 /5 Colten Tidwell: This park is on the Columbia River and is a great one. There are bathroom facilities with outdoor showers and a playground for kids. There is also a running trail that is paved and beach on the Columbia. There are also over six sand volleyball courts. If you have a family with younger children it’s best to come in the earlier hours of the day because in the afternoon the teenagers and older crowd start showing up and don’t use the best of language. Also if you’re coming out here to enjoy the sunshine and warmer water it’s best if you come mid June to first of September. For the most part it is pretty clean and the current isn’t too strong. Please note that about 12 feet from the shore there is a nice drop where the water gets deeper.
