1 /5 ResilientLee: I received and manicure and a pedicure with my daughter today from Sam. I picked out a regular polish and proceeded to receive my services. As we were sitting in the chair getting our pedicures I asked my daughter if she’d ever gotten gel nails. When I moved over to get my manicure I heard Helen telling Sam to tell me to to get Gel. When Sam asked if I wanted Gel, I said no because I knew at that point Helen had been listening to my conversation and jumped at the opportunity to try and upcharge me. When I replied “no thanks” regular is fine” Helen started going off on how regular polish only last 1 day and was visibly irritated I declined Gel. Sam did my manicure, everything was fine. While my nails were drying I accidentally put a tiny smudge on my finger. I apologized to Sam and he was totally fine fixing it. Helen began to berate me in front of another customer she was working on and lecturing me how next time they wouldn’t fix it if I only paid for regular polish because it’s my choice to only pay for regular polish and not pay for a better polish. I listened to her for a few minutes before I got tired of it and told her if her product is that bad then I wouldn’t come back. She thought that was funny and said that was fine.
I decided to get up and leave after Sam fixed my nail and I told Helen her behavior was unacceptable, unprofessional and rude. She laughed and I said I wouldn’t come back. Once again she said that was fine. Sam apologized and asked me to come back and I told him I would definitely recommend him but not his rude wife.
I’ve been coming here off and on for YEARS. Business must be good for Helen to act this way or she simply just hates her life now. I’ve never encountered Helen acting in such a manner and I hope she adjusts her attitude before another customer who may not have been as nice as I was adjusts it for her. Pull yourself together Helen.
