3 /5 shannon: I have to say, I was quite elated when I discovered there was a car mechanic near me, and they had an extraordinarily unusual 5 stars. I have been through quite a lot with my car, and through the the long line of prototypical grumpy, tired, and uncommunicative of car mechanics in the past, so this seemed like a good opportunity for a good experience.
I am giving this 3 stars as the work looks solid, but frankly the experience was not great. It was the same I have experienced everywhere else. In their defense, I had piled up a few things to get fixed, and I wasnt expecting 100% of everything to be solved and fixed, but the problem was the communication and lack of effort on some parts.
There were many things that were not fixed, that I was not told were not fixed, and when I asked about them they simply said, oh thats not fixed, it gave us a code and we cant do anything about it. That is a bit frustrating, but fair. I get that not all things can be solved, but for $2500 in parts and labor, and half the things I came in for werent fixed, wasnt told they werent fixed, seems quite steep and quite unprofessional to just simply not say anything. No options, no work around, no communication, just heres your car, thats 2500, see you later.
At least it is near my home, but I could have gotten this same level of underwhelming experience anywhere.
