Dan Green: Spacious park with nice toys for children including disabled person swings. Tall older trees. There is a walk through in the back to the community behind the park. Unfortunately no restrooms that I noticed. There is a BBQ/covered area. Dogs are allowed on leashes if you know how to clean up after them. Also, there are two tennis courts and a very small basketball area for young kids.

Nellie Hughes: This park is really neat, but clearly has seen better days when Im assuming they actually had a budget. The spots by the river are awesome, and the whole drone/model plane field idea is awesome. Definitely am finding out how to river tube from here, as folks have said it was doable and fun.

Maire Dhu Lemley: Big Catch Plaza is central to the City of Des Moines annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony. Young and young at heart were in attendance to see Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus, and to help do a countdown to light the tree! Well attended, plentiful parking, with room to spare, for social distancing.

Jennifer Flores: Its a lovely park with planting of parking and a wonderful waterfront. I did wonder, since there were a few signs, if its ever safe to swim there because they have an awesome swimming area complete with sandy beach, jumping platform, ladders, sitting ledge, and barrier. But gosh, the sunset over the Olympic Mountain range was breathtaking.
