The team is knowledgeable and took the time to explain my situation thoroughly and in a way that I could understand. At no point did I feel like a "customer" who was there to give them money, but an actual patient with my dental health as the priority. I was able to schedule a follow up visit promptly and look forward to a healthier smile and decades of ongoing quality care!
Unity Care NW - Medical & Childrens Dental (Bellingham) - Bellingham Jillian McDougal: I used to have really pleasant experiences with unity care but recently they really haven’t been good at all. The nurses have always been wonderful, and most receptionists, that’s why I have two stars instead of one. You can barely ever get unity care on the phone no matter how early you called and a callback can take up to two days and if you miss it, oh well. Be prepared to be on hold 45 minutes to an hour if you need an issue taken care of urgently. When I’ve had issues with either medical questions for my care team or billing I feel like I get passed around over and over again just to end up back in the same place. I’ve had four different primary cares in two years here because the doctors keep leaving. As someone with complicated conditions it’s not good to be passed from doctor to doctor. You call to make an appointment and that’s when you find out they’re leaving and they’ve placed you with some new person you’ve never met. Maybe I’ve just had bad luck but I can’t imagine I’ve had the only doctors leaving this place.
Bayview Dental - Bellingham Lexi: The best dentist I have ever been to with the most amazing staff. Jennifer is a beam of sunshine receptionist who is wonderful and Dr. Arasteh and Tara, my hygienist, are caring, warm, friendly, personable, do amazing work and are gentle! Ive had a lifetime of ortho work due to a 3rd degree underbite that needed upper and lower jaw surgery and used to dread more teeth appointments when I needed to go to the dentist. Ive been going here for 3? 4? years and always look forward to my twice a year visits. I am welcomed in with questions that follow up on things I was doing 6 months ago and have a painless, enjoyable experience (even when I had to get a cavity filled) with work that is top quality.
Vander Giessen Dental Care - Bellingham Dennis Bays: I woke up yesterday with a weird gap next to my gumline on one tooth. Hadnt been there even the night before (and (I wouldve noticed!) Called in as soon as they opened (8AM), and amazingly got an appointment for the same day (opening due to cancellation). Lance and his assistant diagnosed the problem, and worked through their lunch hour to begin repair. Very impressed with their expertise and "bedside" manner - and frankness and honesty.
Creekside Dental Care - Bellingham Justene Merriman: Its always a pleasure going to my appointments. Staff are friendly and seem genuinely interested in my health and me as a person. The compliments on my teeth make me feel good too. Theyre also helpful with recommendations for my dental care, and Dr. Cargill was kind to take time to explain things well when I had questions. Laying in the chair surrounded by pleasant people makes a wonderful break during stressful times.

Cordata Dental Professionals - Bellingham Peter Herman: First time seeing a dentist in the area and was recommended them through my insurance provider. Was glad that they were also pretty close to where I live. I called to set up an appointment, and was pleasantly surprised when they had an opening 3 days from the time I called! When I got there the check in process was a little confused because I had submitted all the forms online, along with my insurance information, but they didn’t seem to have any of that stuff. They found the forms, but I still had to give them the insurance information again. Not a big deal at all, since I know tech can be a challenge to deal with. My technician was named Gino and he was really wonderful to talk to and he knew his trade well. I saw Dr. Dotskiy and she did a phenomenal job, and was great at explaining things and going over my options with me at the time of the cleaning. Took a lot a time with me to make sure I was in good shape after not having a cleaning in a while. Overall great experience and I have definitely found my local dentist team!
Bright Now! Dental & Orthodontics - Bellingham, WA - Bellingham Heidi Himmelberger: If you are scared to visit the dentist, this is NOT the place for you. I can have my blood drawn all day long but the dentist is my phobia. They advertise compassionate care but it is anything but. On my last visit I was thrown out because the nitrous machine was malfunctioning or I perceived it to be. When I started to cry a bit from fear, Dr. Scott (who is quite arrogant and does not care about your well-being) came storming down the hall and immediately became combative with me, which caused me to start crying. It was at that point he refused to clean my teeth, told me I was problematic and raised his voice at me that I needed to be fully sedated to have my teeth cleaned and kicked me out of the office. It was very insulting, disrespectful and extremely unprofessional. A few weeks later I received a certified letter that I was "fired" as a patient (as if I would ever go back there.) Dentists take an oath. Dr. Scott has violated his.

Dorsch Family Dental - Bellingham Chloe Melton: I dont often leave reviews, but this dental office was great. All staff were very friendly and professional. Dr. Dorsch was nice, answered all my questions, and made sure to accommodate my sensitive teeth. My dental hygienist was wonderful. He was very kind, took lots of care to make sure I was comfortable, and lovely to talk to. Highly recommend this dental office!
