5 /5 Bobo Macharia: I visited Motion Church last Sunday and was incredibly moved by the experience. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed and felt an immediate sense of belonging. The service was spiritually rich, clear, and deeply meaningful. I was especially inspired by the pastor—despite having just come out of surgery and taking a long flight, he still showed up with strength and delivered such a powerful, heartfelt message. That level of dedication and grace truly spoke to me. I’m so grateful to have found this church community and look forward to returning!
5 /5 Mekko Md: Finding Motion Church after moving to the area has been such a blessing! From the moment we walked through the doors, we felt embraced by a warm, welcoming community. The worship is truly incredible—powerful music that uplifts and prepares your heart for meaningful, impactful messages each week. Its a place that feels like home, and were so grateful to call it our church. If youre looking for a genuine, life-giving place to worship, Motion Church is it!
1 /5 linux: Motion Church, formerly Puyallup Foursquare, used to be associated with Foursquare Church, which is a Pentecostal denomination founded by Aimee Semple McPherson. At some point after 2018 Puyallup Foursquare was rebranded Motion Church. Not sure if this is due to the Foursquare denomination financial controversies, first of which was in 2004 where the denominations president and treasurer lost fourteen million dollars, and the second in 2013, where under Glenn Burris Jrs leadership, they lost two million dollars. There is no mention of the Foursquare lineage on the current Motion Church website, but it can easily be verified with a little Google research. While its unclear if Motion still holds to its Pentecostal roots, the church still has overlap in beliefs, including dispensationalism, purely symbolic Eucharist, and no infant baptism. The churchs website only gives a mission statement and ten values, which do not give an indication of overall theological roots. Those who are looking for an authentic, historical, and more traditional experience probably wouldnt enjoy what Motion Church has to offer. However, those who do not hold historical Christianity in high regard and are looking for charismatic comedy-club entertainment with a loosely connected spiritual message, stadium seating, rock-concert-style music, and a coffee bar might be interested.
2 /5 RB: We visited Motion for the first time. After getting blasted by bubbles at the front door, we wandered around and got a feel for this church. Were not exactly sure what we are looking for in a house of worship, but feel confident that this isnt the place for us. We felt like we were attending a concert, rather than a church. The music was insanely loud. We left the auditorium after 10 minutes. It seems well organized and very clean but a bit too commercial for us. Were happy for all the people attending! They seemed to be enjoying it.
4 /5 MatĂas GarzĂłn: Motion church received a lot of love and also a some hate. Here is as close to an unbiased, honest review as I can give. Pastor: People are very polarized relating to Roger, the lead pastor. He is very charismatic and confident, but it can often come off as arrogance. Honestly, I do think that he struggles with pride, but no Christian is perfect and in multiple sermons that Ive watched he has said something prideful, immediately realized it, then given the glory to God and humbled himself. Also, some people feel like the church is centered too much around him, and that main service is sort of the Roger show. While it may appear that Roger, as some reviews put it, isnt a good Christian example, it is important to realize that you are only seeing him for an hour a week and you dont see the work he puts in. I know for a fact that every time he goes out to eat, by the end of the meal he has prayed for, invited to church, and sometimes even led the server to Jesus. His interactions with others truly exemplify the life Christ lived. Worship: When I first came to motion, I wasnt a huge fan of what I saw as loud and flashy worship. I didnt know a lot of the songs as I was used to more traditional hymns. However, it grew on me quickly. It definitely isnt for everyone and the volume can be too high sometimes, but there are earbuds next to each door if it is too loud for you. I have come to really enjoy the musical style as they usually start with one or two hype, upbeat songs, then shift to a deeper, slower paced song or two. Youth: Having attended motion youth for around 3 1/2 years and main service for 2 1/2 years, to young people I would 100% recommend youth group. The atmosphere is fantastic with a separate high school and junior high group. I think that Jake the youth pastor does a fabulous job preaching and occasionally we will have an intern or 4-5 students preach at a service. I have seen so many young people be saved at this youth group, and I think that it fits the audience very well. I am out of words now, but overall great church for most people.

RPM Repair Performance Maintenance: Went here for xmas mass. The childrens drop off was closed, but one of the greeters and hostess gave us a gift bag for the kids to keep them entertained . It worked great, and she helped us find a spot to sit. How nice she was! Thank you so much. We had a wonderful day and worship the Lord.

Michael Groome: Reviewing a church feels odd because its not some local business. Nonetheless heres why I love this church. First off, you can read their statement of faith to know some of the foundations they believe, know that I agree so lets skip that stuff. They teach from the Bible. They mostly go through books and the sermons are not often topical. Every single sermon is brought back to the gospel and thats is the cornerstone of the church. Second thing I love about this church is the emphasis on community. They want to encourage and show a loving gospel community. This even showed in what they call their "community groups", that being Gospel Community Groups. There are no fancy light shows, though we do have some talented musicians and a wonderful sound team. Theres authentic biblical teaching and a call to live life together and serve the community and the world!
    The Chapel Church - Puyallup
    The Chapel Church
EllieJonathan McNicol: We have been blessed by being a part of The Chapel Church since 2010 and we love our church family! We have grown more spiritually since starting to attend; individually, as a couple and our kids, too. The Pastors/elders have been so loving to us and firm about teaching the Bible to the church. There is no bowing to societal pressure to water down the Word at The Chapel Church. While there are no perfect churches out there, we definitely recommend this outstanding one!

Gabe Kilpatrick: Grew up going here under Pastor Dave, my family helped work the AV system during worship, and my father and step-mother were married here. Its a beautiful, welcoming church with excellent youth activities- I had more fun here than I did in secular summer camp.

Hyper Sports: My daughter 1st brought me to this Church and ever since we would attend every Sunday. She would stay for the 2nd service so that she would help out at the children’s area. Somehow i got myself wrapped up in my job, and building a couple of businesses that I stopped attending Church. One day i was driving somewhere and something told me to turn around and i somehow subconsciously ended up at this Church. My eyes were filled with tears, because i felt lost in life that I didn’t know who I was. I met one of the Church elder we talked for a bit because he had to be somewhere so I gave someone to give him my #. 3 weeks past and i never got a return call. I still attend Church every other week and I met 3 other men that are helping me overcome my epic obstacle. I’m still struggling. But I have their # that I could talk with Spiritual/ personal level. I am so “Thankful” that the Lord lead me in front of these men !!!
    Sunrise Church - Puyallup
    Sunrise Church
Christy Eatherly: Sunrise is, "Welcome home!" From the moment you walk in the door, you are accepted and loved. Their childrens department is engaging and inviting. The worship is a blend of traditional and contemporary, thoughtfully curated to prepare your heart to hear from God. Pastor Dan speaks truth to real people. He makes the Bible come alive, shares creative illustrations, and works outside the box adding in media, music, drama and more to help us apply truth to our lives. There are so many small groups and ministries here, youre sure to find a place, from adult Sunday schools to YogaFaith, and everything in between.
