5 /5 Karena Brown: Whitney is absolutely amazing at what she does. She truly listens and wants the best for your hair. She replicated exactly what i asked for and even gave me tips for styling my haircut. I highly recommend her and I will definitely be back.

5 /5 Diana Speerbrecher: Whitney is the only stylist I trust to cut my short pixie haircut. She has been cutting my hair for several years now and I always walk away very pleased. I don’t understand some of the negative reviews because she always goes above and beyond to please her customers. She is a true artist and stays current with hairstyles and trends. If you want a stylist who listens to you as well as making you look amazing, this is the place to be. I will never go anywhere else.

1 /5 Kayla Boland: In September of 2023, I visited Opal Salon. My hair grows slower than normal and I expressed to the stylist, Olivia, who had canceled two appointments before I finally met her. Long story short: I asked for a dusting with no layers and she cut six inches off of my hair--even more in some spots because she layered it horribly. The owner, Whitney, agreed to see me to "fix" it, which I appreciated, but it still turned out awful. I had to change my entire plan for my wedding hair because of them (and they knew I had an upcoming wedding). To this day, I have a weird little rat tail at the bottom of my hair that is longer than the rest and I will have to get it cut much shorter than I want to get it all back to normal. Ive had to overuse heat tools to hide the hack job they did, further damaging my hair in the process. I hate giving one-star reviews, especially to small businesses, but this experience was too awful to ignore. Save yourself the heartache and find a different salon. TL;DR -- the pictures say it all.

5 /5 Elizabeth Wisebrauner: I felt immediately pleased and at home in Whitney’s space, and her environment. Though my haircut is fabulous, it is also just so refreshing to truly enjoy the whole experience, and feel comfortable and welcomed by someone I had never officially met. The ambiance, vibes, hospitality, elegance, kindness, & her sense of style ameliorated the service she provided. What a pleasant feeling to get home and realize how good my hair looks! Thank you Whitney! Olympia is blessed to have someone like you & I feel grateful to have met you, & been provided such a cut.
