1 /5 Caylie: The initial consult went well, but I regret moving forward. I was too conscious during the gum surgery and in severe pain throughout. The goal was to fix recession, and my dentist agrees the surgery did not resolve this in multiple areas. Dr. Miesel saw this as well and offered to discuss a second surgery, but the first one was too painful to go through it again. The team spoke with my insurance prior to the surgery, gave the good news about what was being covered, and I paid my bill on the surgery day. They verbally communicated again that insurance was covering the rest and said to ignore any denied letters. Five months after surgery, I was sent a surprise significant bill from Dr. Miesel’s team. I understand that everyone’s experience varies and hope its been better for others, but between the pain, results, and the way billing was handled, I unfortunately would recommend looking elsewhere for this surgery.
