1 /5 Nate S: The most baffling experience on the phone with a medical office Ive ever had. I honestly I had the wrong number, but no, they are just that clueless. It went like this:
Office: thanks for calling sea mar dental clinic
Me: hi do you all have an endodontist at this location?
Office: uhhhmm I dunno, dont think we do at this location
Me: Okay. Which of your locations is the endodontist at?
Office: ummmm idk off the top of my head.
Me: *waiting for her to finish that by looking it up or asking*
Them: *silence*
Me: Okay, can you look it up or ask a colleague? You can call me back if youre busy, or I can hold.
Them: uhhhhmmm
Me: Should I call every one of your offices/doctors in Washington until I find your endodontist?
Them: Im in the medical department, not the dental (despite their greeting)
Me: Why havent you transferred me yet? Can you please transfer me to the dental department? I called the listed number for your dental clinic on your website.
Them: well... uhhh... i dont know if we have that on our phone
Are you guys okay over there? Maybe a new staff member or training needs some work. Its super confusing. It isnt a rare question, and the service is listed on the website... but it isnt clear which office the endodontist works at or when. Many have one that they share, and you have to call for the schedule. They responded as if I was asking something unusual vs a routine inquiry.
