1 /5 Linda Ryall: My adult daughter had a terrible experience with the clinic today, very discouraging after I referred her there and go there myself. Weeks ago, she scheduled a tele-appointment with her doctor of record (who she’d seen once before for well check and prescription). The reason was prescription renewal. She confirmed in advance with the clinic that being out of town would be ok for continued care, thus the televisit. Received a call today that was a few hours before her scheduled time, told there was a sudden opening. She was available, however was treated very cryptically with intake questions - the background was noisy - it was so unprofessional she couldn’t be sure she wasn’t being spammed. Then she was disconnected followed by a call back from the clinic, and a really random question: did you check your vitals? To which she answered no, she was at home awaiting a televisit. (Who checks their own vitals at home before a virtual visit?) Then they expected my daughter to be immediately ready online, even though this was a spur of moment session. Then it was rudely and not patiently explained to her how to get connected, as if everyone at the clinic was in a big hurry. Finally she was connected with the doctor, who asked my daughter where she was located, and she indicated she was out of town at school, which she prearranged. After which the doctor said she couldn’t help her, even though she’d already cleared this when scheduling the appointment. The doctor disconnected quickly. She and others on the phone were rude, not helpful, and abrupt. It was a very negative experience of getting passed around and never helped.
