5 /5 Laura Schmidt: I have been a patient of Dr Westhusings since 2012 or before. He is the most thorough doctor I have EVER had. He looks for an answer when he needs to. Normally he is just verifying what he has already said. I GREATLY appreciate this in his style. This reminds me of my favorite teachers who always told the class to check their work.
This doctor felt a lump in my throat and sent me to an endocrinologist. That doctor said it was fine. Said I didnt need a biopsy. He told her it didnt matter what she thought, just do the biopsy! Yeah, it was a malignant tumor on my thyroid.
He was there when I showed major anemia and called me before I could make it home, when I was bleeding from unknown source. Five units of plasma later the hospitalist sent me home. The next week I was in the ER bleeding again. Dr sent me to the hospital across the bridge. I was in for almost a week and another five units but he did not give up on me. Because of him I am alive.
Thank you for all of this. When doctor moved to Kadlec, so did I!
