Google User: Had a great experience here recently - my partner woke up one day with horrible pain but no health insurance. We frantically searched for free/affordable same-day medical care and found this clinic. Left a voicemail Monday morning; got a callback around 2pm that day; got an appt for 6pm that same evening. Easy check-in, almost zero wait time, on-point diagnosis, and they sent him home with 3 meds (one of which he picked up at a local pharmacy for $20, the other two were free from the clinic). All told he paid $20 for excellent health care while his pain steadily improved within a few days. We didnt even need the follow-up appt. Had such a great experience here that were both now wanting to volunteer to help pay it forward. Thank you Olympia Free Clinic for all that you do!

Sue Stewart: I have been to this clinic before...several years ago and everything went just fine. My latest visit and ALL other forms of communication have been worse than ANYTHING I have EVER encountered in my long lifetime. It took a month after calling to get an appointment. The appointment itself was wonderful. The Physician Assistant was actually the best "doctor" I think I have had a visit with however.... Someone called me on the 2 week appointed time for my pathology report. The message said to call Amy so...I did. This was on Friday, March 14, 2025. Her message said it could be 24 hours before she could return the call. No problem, it was a weekend. I did NOT receive a call on Monday. Most of Tuesday passed without a call so I called again. The report I got was not what I had hoped for but... Her explanation of treatment options was like pick one of the two. I dont have a clue which would be better or which had a better outcome or cost or if my insurance would cover either of the options. USUALLY...a doctor would explain things but...not in this case. I dont have a clue as to what to even ask Medicare and my insurance company what would be covered. Then I said wed go for another surgical option instead of the BrachyTherapy which Im sure Medicare wouldnt cover, especially now in the uncertainty of Medicare. The soonest appointment I could get is THREE MONTHS away. I now have the dreaded C word...CANCER but I have to wait three months??? Will I still even be alive in 3 months, will this be worse??? I have no idea since the young lady is NOT a physician. This is MY ONE AND ONLY LIFE...shouldnt it be valued more than "pick one"? If your patients are your business, I think better treatment of that patient should be your top priority. I feel like Im at the bottom of the list of things to deal with.

Marie Hadley: i have been getting the run around for a balance due bill from this clinic since August. My insurance is Medicare Advantage through Kaiser Permanente and according to them I owe nothing. This balance due bill is for $900.00 and its beginning to feel like a scam. Every time I call they say that it has been sent to "upper management" to get resolved. My next step is to go to the clinic in person and ask to speak directly to "upper Management". Ill keep posting updates as I have new info.

Kathryn Kirkpatrick: I went in looking for a new Naturopath and had a lovely visit with Dr. Duncan. She was very professional, a great listener and knowledgeable on my questions and issues. Ultimately our views on health did not match and I was a bit taken aback by some of her philosophies as they dont seem to align with Naturopathy (in my opinion). This was a 1/2 point deduction. The remainder of the reason I gave a 3 star review was that I was initially charged as self-pay at the desk for my visit, which is what I was quoted over the phone. Later I was charged an additional $60 with no explanation after confirming that I paid in full at the office. So now I am paying for $60 more for no apparent reason. Which is odd.

Michelle B: Dr McKay was great! This appointment is a second opinion and I felt that he truly listened to me and is digging into try to figure out what is at the core of my pain. I truly appreciated his care, compassion and time for me. I would totally recommend him to anyone that I know.

Candice Mears: HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Kim! This is the first time I have felt like a doctor truly listened to my concerns. Dr. Kim is very professional, thorough, and explained everything during the visit. I would absolutely pay out of pocket to see her again over using our established insurance. I received not only great care and information but also much needed back pain relief. Dr. Kim is truly fantastic. 10/10

Newtonian Space-Time: I recently had an appointment to establish care with Thomas Etherton, ARNP, and was delighted with my experience. His easygoing demeanor made me comfortable discussing my health. The entire staff was friendly and efficient. They have a great sense of humor and are easy to connect with. As a female patient, I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect from a male provider, but his easygoing, knowledgeable approach stood out. He took the time to listen to my questions in an attentive and sincere manner. The responses he provided were honest and incorporated my input. Thomas Etherton, ARNP, offers a low-barrier yet thorough approach. I left the appointment feeling empowered and confident. It’s uncommon to find a doctor who balances professionalism with such kindness. I highly recommend Thomas Etherton, ARNP, to anyone seeking a caring and attentive primary care provider.

Leta: We have been with this Office from the start. We absolutely have no complaints. Dr Moore and Laura are very great at seeing a serious problem and working with us after we understood the true seriousness of everything. They are going out of their way to assist us with our journey and to ensure its success, for which we are very grateful.

Kirstie Ader: First review a month ago. Second review date from first: 4/30/24 When we first moved to the area in August we needed a doctor quick. this "medical professional" was a delight at first. Until it came to med refills. It has been nothing but a hassle getting any sort of meds refilled through her since seeing her. She knows my 12 year old is suicidal and Ive been trying for a week and a half to get his Prozac filled. He has an appointment Tuesday. He is now out of both Concerta and Fluoxetine which Ms. medical professional was well aware he was low. I am one very unhappy mother and would not recommend this place for anyone. The lack of care for their clients mental health stability is astounding. She knows my childs meds are not working but wont touch them. Dont go to wahkiakum family health center in Cathlamet! I am still shocked at the incapability and ignorance of realizing that this patient cannot be without his meds which she clearly stated in her office notes that were read to me by the receptionist. Dont see this medical professional! 4/30/24 update on this "professional" I was still getting refills through this medical professional while we switch providers. I called for a refill 4/19/24.... to find out she called in the WRONG dosage. i have taken the same dosage for over 2 years. which she would have seen if she checked my records she desperately wanted.... i didnt notice until i called the pharmacy for my refill to be told its too early. I had to wait to call until 4/23. Called... didnt hear anything back so i called again Thursday 4/25. refill was called in 4/26 for a dosage fix but insurance bounced it back as not covered. Ms medical professional left the office at noon and did not have her MA check in to make sure it was received. It had been a week without the med at this point. I then had to call and speak with someone else who couldnt help because it wasnt his mistake. no big deal. I let her know in mychart that i was still having issues and have been completely out for a week at that point. she failed to understand STILL that i was completely out. It took my husband calling threatening legal action to get this place to get in gear and get me taken care of. Being on antidepressants for 21 years this is not something someone should ever have to deal with. This office has been the worst experience with medical professionals. I would not recommend them to anyone.
