4 /5 Amber Fiedler: Beautiful park with lots of shade. The area is covered by trees which is really nice on hot days. The playground seems like it needs a good cleaning however this area is excellent for bringing kids. There is a lot of wildlife, my daughter loves picking up little baby crabs. If youre lucky sometimes you can see orcas in the water or jelly fish. The only reason Im putting 4 stars instead of 5 is the sketchy people that come and go. I dont like leaving my car to go to the beach. I wish there were cameras or something. Also they have a covered patio for parties.

5 /5 Karma Hewitt: This has always been a favorite park of mine, there is a very nice walking trail with access straight to the beach, with beautiful views of the bay. Ive had friends who have had their birthday parties here over the years, and one of my couple friends even got married here! Its a beautiful park thats very well maintained and managed. A safe and welcoming park to bring kids and family.

5 /5 Heather Hernandez: A nice park with lake access. Parking is limited but shaded under the tall trees. A small playground, plenty of trash cans, a basketball court and access to the lake/beach. A good place for a picnic and rocking throwing for the little ones in the water.

I would highly recommend taking some time to stop by and see this place. It has a lot of really cool stuff to look at, especially if you are a history buff like myself!

Jesse White: We just stopped in to purchase a bark Ranger tag after spending four hours exploring the Willapa Hills State Park Trail. Volunteer came off as aggressive but I don’t think it was intentional. Free street parking out front. Hours posted on door differed from google hours.

Danielle: This museum is an absolute gem! A must-visit for anyone who loves cars. The collection is incredible—so many fascinating vehicles to admire and explore. The space is well-organized, and the staff is incredibly welcoming. Plenty of parking, which makes the visit hassle-free. The kids had an amazing time, and we’ll definitely be returning!

Tacoma Nature Center - Tacoma

Jose: We often drive around exploring different parks, and this was our first time coming across this center. We arrived later in the day when it was already closed, but even from the outside, it looked like a really great spot. My son had a blast exploring the area around it, and there was plenty of space for kids to run and play. We’ll definitely be back when the weather is nicer to check out everything the center has to offer. I was especially impressed by the multiple outdoor play areas designed for kids of different ages. There are also some easy trails behind the center, which seem perfect for a relaxed walk or a little outdoor adventure. Overall, I’m really glad we stumbled upon this place. It looks like a fantastic spot for families to enjoy both playtime and nature, and I’m excited to come back and experience it fully when it’s open!

Museum of Glass - Tacoma

Kellie Jay: This was a great place to go to. We popped into the show room to watch some art being created. It was really hot and it was a hot day in June. We walked the gallery and enjoyed the art work. The cafe food was a bit pricey. We decided to eat somewhere else. Nice clean, and quiet The kids were not so entertained.

Washington State History Museum - Tacoma

Daniel Sharpe: Great experience with the regional model train clubs! My family loved the intricate details of both the visiting train sets and all the historical exhibits too. The building itself is quite interesting with multiple overlapping floors and a large entry gallery. The floorplan was a little odd to navigate but it kept the kids entertained as we moved from place to place. Definitely going to be another visit in our future

Fort Nisqually Living History Museum - Tacoma

Dunn Nat (Narobii): Its the great fort of nisqually protecting the south sound from the north, or well its actually just a historic wooden fort with a view of the sound. There is reenactors and events going on all the time, and a couple of nearby parking lots. Great place to visit and as a jumping off point to walk the nearby trails of the park. There is also a nearby picnic area and bathrooms. Just try not to get lost if you go exploring outside of the fort, never know when a squirrel might pop out behind a tree.
