4 /5 Daniel Sharpe: Great experience with the regional model train clubs! My family loved the intricate details of both the visiting train sets and all the historical exhibits too. The building itself is quite interesting with multiple overlapping floors and a large entry gallery. The floorplan was a little odd to navigate but it kept the kids entertained as we moved from place to place. Definitely going to be another visit in our future

3 /5 Robert Jorgensen: Not a bad way to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon. Parking is easy, although you have to pay for it. The exhibits are a bit underwhelming for a museum of this size. A lot of construction going on for new exhibits. $17 admission which I think is high for the content provided. Diverse selection of things to look out regarding the history of Washington State.

5 /5 William J Bruno: Ive been here many times, especially for the annual model train display. I was recently there for a private event and I got to tour the History of Toys display. So much fun! I only wish I had more time!

5 /5 Alixandria Baty: I havent been to this Museum since I was a kid. I saw an ad for the Toytopia exhibit and had to take 9 and 6 year old! Not only was that particular exhibit AMAZING but the whole museum has obviously been updated. My children also loved the geological history section and model trains. We couldnt even see it all in 3 hours and theyve asked to go back again. There is a Native American exhibit under construction currently due to be completed this year. For anyone who cant afford these types of activities, this Museum participates in Museums For All (discounted rates for those on state benefits) - at the time our cost was under $4. We didnt interact with staff much but they all seemed pleasant!

5 /5 Katalynn Isamelia: My family loves going to this museum. There was lots of historical information that pertains to events that are currently unfolding in the USA. I would recommend everyone coming to this museum for educating themselves and their children on the history of these lands.

Fort Nisqually Living History Museum - Tacoma

Dunn Nat (Narobii): Its the great fort of nisqually protecting the south sound from the north, or well its actually just a historic wooden fort with a view of the sound. There is reenactors and events going on all the time, and a couple of nearby parking lots. Great place to visit and as a jumping off point to walk the nearby trails of the park. There is also a nearby picnic area and bathrooms. Just try not to get lost if you go exploring outside of the fort, never know when a squirrel might pop out behind a tree.

Lyz Kurnitz-Thurlow: They did a walking tour of Old Tacoma,led by Christopher, the director. It was pleasant, and ended up at St. Peters Church, the oldest building in Tacoma, celebrating its 150th birthday, with food, song, info, and a historical reenactment!

Larry Pham: Such a lovely garden. Small glass house big surprise. My first time here and fall in love with this place for variety of plants that Ive never seen. Charming corners with green growing foliages.

Theas Park - Tacoma

Terrill John: One of my favorite places to eat lunch in the car. Established in 1996. Watch boats and ships coming and going. And ships loading grain at the grain silo. It also sports a nice beach. Thea Park sits at the north end of the Esplanade that travels (almost) the entire west side of the Waterway. And connects to the Prairie Line Trail and via streets to the Pipeline Trail. View of the Thea Foss waterway (old city Waterway). The Puyallup River flowed through here until the Army Corps of Engineers rerouted the river in the late 1800s. That allowed sailing ships to dock in a protected port. Tip. Take the elevator at the Murray Morgan Bridge to downtown.

Jeff Meyer: A cool area for a stroll. You get a sense of the lumber mill past with some informative placards. And the old band saw with metal sculpture is interesting. Beautiful views and some decent birdwatching.

Michelle Timian: A beautiful park with a guided walkway through the history of the expulsion of Chinese residents of Tacoma. Very beautifully and thoughtfully done. The park is very gorgeous, with lots of benches facing the Sound.
