  • What Clients Are Saying about Dickman Mill Park (on GG)
5 /5 Jeff Meyer: A cool area for a stroll. You get a sense of the lumber mill past with some informative placards. And the old band saw with metal sculpture is interesting. Beautiful views and some decent birdwatching.
5 /5 joann loyola: It was fantastic; the people are friendly and the scenery is incredibly calming and gorgeous. Just be careful of the bumpy paths.
5 /5 Promise Lamandalynne “Panda T-Rex”: ABSOLUTELY breathtaking!! I love this place!! My fiance and I love going down to the waterfront for evening walks. We need to do it more often. Its an amazing place to just sit and talk. Watching the water and the ships makes everything seem so much more simple. Tonight we saw 2 military helicopters over the water. It was a really cool scene. (June 17,2020)
3 /5 KittyCwak: Lots of barnacles! Native plants have been planted and there are interpretation signs because this park has a history in Tacomas water front.
5 /5 Rebecca Long: We had a delightful Fall afternoon taking the kids with bike and scooter for a stroll. The park and walkways are beautiful maintained. It is so peaceful and exhilarating to be near the Sounds and see the mountains. ** Please LIKE my review, if it helps you!

    Tacoma Narrows Bridge -
    Tacoma Narrows Bridge
    R. Scherer: Im rating this bridge and area based on it history. I had the pleasure of bringing my kids across the second Tacoma Narrows Bridge nicknamed Sturdy Gertie when they still used wind socks and flashing lights to warn you of the dangerous winds after the first bridge, Galloping Gertie was ripped apart during 40-mile per hour winds, leaving parts of it in the 200 depths of the torrential currents below. Theres a story of a Giant Pacific Octopus nicknamed Gertie living amongst the wreckage of Galloping Gertie in the waters below the 2nd bridge. My kids had just watched a historical documentary movie their great uncle had on Galloping Gertie, and they complained the whole way across that it was going to fall! Now, with the new suspension bridge, there are tolls, how times have changed.
