06-2025 Wing Luke Museum in Hight rate 21 location for tourist in Seattle, WA (part 3)Frye Art Museum - Seattle R. S. W.: It took me less than 15 minutes to walk through this single floor museum. There really isnāt much to see. Although it is free, I feel like they could have made better use in a lot of the empty spaces/rooms. Personally, I expected more.
Georgetown Steam Plant - Seattle Chris Evergreen: Cool Art show at the Georgetown Steam Plant. Looking forward to seeing the other events they are going to have here this year. Also checked out the metal flying bird in the back and the herb garden. A lot going on here these days.
Wilburton Hill Park - Bellevue Shanti Geiser: āāāāā
Wilburton Hill Park is a hidden gem!
This park has everything we could want for a family day out. The fully fenced dog park is a dreamāsafe, spacious, and perfect for letting our pup run free. The beautiful walking trails and running track wind through peaceful, scenic areas, making it just as great for a quiet stroll as it is for a good workout.
The awesome zipline is a huge hit with the kids (and, letās be honest, the adults too), and the train-themed play structure is such a fun and unique touch. Every part of this park feels thoughtful and well-maintained.
We always leave feeling happy, refreshed, and already planning our next visit. Definitely one of our favorite parks in the area!
Bellevue Downtown Park - Bellevue Duncan McAlpine: Visiting Bellevie Downtown Park has quickly become one of my favorite weekend activities! The park offers an incredible balance of open, natural beauty and thoughtful design. The vast grassy fields are perfect for picnics, playing catch, or simply relaxing in the sun, and theyāre always well-maintained and inviting.
One of the parkās most stunning features is the infinite fountain that gracefully wraps around the entire space. It adds such a peaceful, almost magical atmosphere, especially with the gentle sound of the water following you as you walk. Speaking of walking, the path that circles the park is perfectly maintained ā smooth, wide, and ideal for a leisurely stroll, a morning jog, or an evening walk with friends and family.
Families will especially love the inspirational playground. Itās colorful, creative, and clearly designed with both fun and imagination in mind ā you can see the kidsā faces light up the moment they step onto it.
Adding to the parkās beauty are the gorgeous landscaped gardens and striking pieces of structural art thoughtfully placed throughout. Everywhere you look, thereās something visually interesting ā whether itās a perfectly manicured flower bed or a unique sculpture that sparks conversation.
The Park is truly a gem and a wonderful reminder of how a public space can be both functional and inspiring. I canāt recommend it enough for anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors in a beautifully curated setting!
Kelsey Creek Park - Bellevue sanjiv kumar: Had a great time visiting this farm-themed park over the weekend! There were lots of friendly farm animals like goats, sheep, bunnies, hens and the playgrounds were amazingāespecially the tractor-themed play structure that kids absolutely loved. Itās clean, well-maintained, and perfect for families. Highly recommended for anyone with young children looking for a fun and educational outing!
KidsQuest Childrens Museum - Bellevue Frooty: This Museum is an amazing destination for kids to play, explore, and learn! This hands-on museum offers a variety of engaging activities for children of all ages.
One of the highlights is the water play area, where kids can splash, experiment, and discover how water flows and interacts with different objects. The grocery shopping pretend play section is also a favorite, allowing little ones to role-play as shoppers or cashiers, sparking creativity and teamwork.
For toddlers, thereās a dedicated area with age-appropriate toys and activities, ensuring even the youngest visitors have a safe and exciting experience. The museum also offers plenty of books to read, along with building toys and trains, encouraging both quiet moments and imaginative play.
Educational exhibits about farms, bees, and worms are thoughtfully designed, providing kids with fun ways to learn about nature and the environment. Itās a great opportunity for hands-on learning that captures their curiosity.
Overall, Kids Quest Museum is an exceptional space for children to have fun and learn at the same time. I would totally recommend it to any family looking for an interactive, enriching experience for their kids!
Newcastle Beach Park - Bellevue cat: Decent park with a pretty good view of the water. Only rating it 3 stars because we werenāt allowed to go in to a certain part of the water and the part we could go in, was very small and crowded with children. The life guard was aggressive and rude when warning us. Another lady was also targeted because she was not allowed to bring her dog on the grass area??? Which makes no sense because other beaches and parks allowed dogs and people to go in all areas of the water! We probably wonāt be back :)
Bellevue Botanical Garden - Bellevue Dr. Haryax Pathak: Theres two different perspectives to visiting the Bellevue Botanical Garden.
1. You are looking to get some fresh air, a walk amongst nature, surrounded by trees and flowers and birds. Maybe explore the garden with the few small trails that take you in and around. And finally stop for a drink / snacks at the Copper Kettle Coffee Bar. A good way to spend a couple of hours in the morning and get fresh.
2. This place is information intensive. Learn everything there is to know about gardening. Learn about the hundreds of species of different plants and shrubs and herbs and flowers that are reared in this 58 acre garden. Learn about its rich history. Explore yourself or sign up for a guided tour. There are QR codes all along the routes providing invaluable knowledge. Enter the garden as a novice and leave with a mind full and rich with knowledge.
I did a bit of both, and it was a really beautiful, fun experience.
