Maybe something fun to do inside. Maybe an amusement center? Go karts, combo trampoline park, who knows?!?!

5 /5 Road Warrior: Yard Birds was once a great place to shop. When it closed down the place was a mini mall and I used to go there quite a bit. Too bad they closed that down as well and now the place sits empty. The old Bird has been a roadside attraction for many years and is becoming historical. I hope it never is taken down as it is a famous Chehalis landmark.

I would highly recommend taking some time to stop by and see this place. It has a lot of really cool stuff to look at, especially if you are a history buff like myself!

Jesse White: We just stopped in to purchase a bark Ranger tag after spending four hours exploring the Willapa Hills State Park Trail. Volunteer came off as aggressive but I don’t think it was intentional. Free street parking out front. Hours posted on door differed from google hours.

Danielle: This museum is an absolute gem! A must-visit for anyone who loves cars. The collection is incredible—so many fascinating vehicles to admire and explore. The space is well-organized, and the staff is incredibly welcoming. Plenty of parking, which makes the visit hassle-free. The kids had an amazing time, and we’ll definitely be returning!

Tacoma Nature Center - Tacoma

Jose: We often drive around exploring different parks, and this was our first time coming across this center. We arrived later in the day when it was already closed, but even from the outside, it looked like a really great spot. My son had a blast exploring the area around it, and there was plenty of space for kids to run and play. We’ll definitely be back when the weather is nicer to check out everything the center has to offer. I was especially impressed by the multiple outdoor play areas designed for kids of different ages. There are also some easy trails behind the center, which seem perfect for a relaxed walk or a little outdoor adventure. Overall, I’m really glad we stumbled upon this place. It looks like a fantastic spot for families to enjoy both playtime and nature, and I’m excited to come back and experience it fully when it’s open!

Museum of Glass - Tacoma

Kellie Jay: This was a great place to go to. We popped into the show room to watch some art being created. It was really hot and it was a hot day in June. We walked the gallery and enjoyed the art work. The cafe food was a bit pricey. We decided to eat somewhere else. Nice clean, and quiet The kids were not so entertained.

Washington State History Museum - Tacoma

Daniel Sharpe: Great experience with the regional model train clubs! My family loved the intricate details of both the visiting train sets and all the historical exhibits too. The building itself is quite interesting with multiple overlapping floors and a large entry gallery. The floorplan was a little odd to navigate but it kept the kids entertained as we moved from place to place. Definitely going to be another visit in our future

Tacoma Art Museum - Tacoma
