2 /5 Jeremy E: I would agree with the sour vibe that another reviewer (Connie) shared about her experience. This was not a welcome, friendly sort of atmosphere, it felt more like a curated art collection to be appreciated in silence. The shopkeeper (not sure if she was the owner or an employee) wasn’t very warm and seemed very aloof, almost snobby. We asked a few questions but she merely deigned to provide a response versus trying to engage in a way that made you want to be part of the item’s story. There was one item I did actually like which was placed next to several similar pieces in the same style but while they all had prices this one item did not. I asked what the price was and she made a sour face then said “oh.. that’s more of a display item but I guess I could come up with a price if you really want me to.” I politely declined because her vibe was clearly ‘I don’t want to sell you that” which was no problem for me, I’m more than happy to spend my money elsewhere.
So, if you want to appreciate some nice pieces of carefully-presented artifacts, feel free to stop in…. but don’t expect a warm welcome or hospitality while you’re there.
