1 /5 Austin Kimmell: My wife and her friend (with a total of seven children, mostly toddlers) were parked in the parking lot in front of the Lane Bryant Outlet when they were rudely accosted by an employee—possibly the manager—of Lane Bryant. My wife had parked near the store so that she could go there once it opened, after attending an event at the children’s museum.
They were asked to move their vehicle from the spaces in front of the store to other spots in front of different retailers. This request alone was not an issue—we are very accommodating people and live by the principle of treating others the way we want to be treated. However, the manner in which my wife and her friend were addressed was unprofessional. The employee did not allow them to speak, instead demanding that they move their vehicle and interrupting them whenever they tried to reason with her. She treated them as if they were children.
This behavior was uncalled for and completely unprofessional. Because of this interaction, my wife will never enter this store. It was unprovoked, unnecessary, and reflects poorly on the business. I hope others take note of the type of conduct displayed here and choose with their wallets, as we are, to go elsewhere.
