Adam This is my absolute favorite gym in the Greater Seattle area, after trying quite a few over the past few years. The atmosphere is so welcoming, while maintaining the idea that everybody is there to work. The equipment is top notch, and ESPECIALLY for a powerlifting gym it is CLEAN. Great place for beginners because of how friendly everybody is, but also a great place to step up from the chain style gym and get serious about training. Highly recommend, 10 stars, and reach out to Julia or Laura for training/coaching as well!

Rachel Haynes They are a little slow to get things repaired but overall its a solid place to work out for the money. Theres a nice mix of people, from dedicated weight lifters to elderly trying to stay active types, which is my favorite thing about it. No one has ever bothered me there as woman working out alone and Ive never seen anyone else have problems. Staff are relatively nice and helpful but not overly friendly.

Justin Wade The gym hosted a Hyrox sim and the gym was quite spectacular. Beautiful entry way and felt very boutique like. Loved the seating and noticed there was also a sauna. The floor itself was extremely spacious with all the equipment one can ask for. The locker rooms were beautifully designed with showers, amenities and very clean. Highly recommend checking them out.

Remya Koshy Nev is the absolute best!! I came to Nev apprehensive because I struggle with pain issues that have made it difficult to work out in the past. I used to be scared of spending days in pain after a workout, but after working out with Nev, I feel like a completely different person! Nev listens and takes all my issues and goals into consideration, which combined with her deep and intuitive understanding of biomechanics has worked wonders for me. For the first time, I can work out safely and without pain! Nev has not only helped me get stronger, but also importantly works with me to build a strong foundation for progressively more challenging workouts. I leave every session already looking forward to the next one, which is a first for me. Nev not only pushes me in the best way in the gym, but her lessons have also helped me unlearn years of bad posture outside the gym. I highly recommend Nev to anyone looking for an amazing trainer!

Anna Wall Having been a member of numerous gyms in the last 20 years, Id say UP is one of my favorites! Im a solo exerciser and I love the self-service arrangement here. No front desk or personal trainers to interrupt your workouts, just come and go as you please. It also means there are cameras everywhere, which makes me feel safer AND the gym is open 365 days a year. There is plenty of cardio equipment and machines for weight training. At peak hours, you may have to wait for a treadmill, as with almost any gym. Be aware that there are no locker rooms or showers, but I live nearby so thats not an issue for me. The owners/management are very responsive, and any time Ive had an email with questions or concerns, they respond right away.

Amy Razo South Seattle Womens fitness is exactly what I was looking for to restart a fitness regimen simply because they offer a variety of classes throughout the day, but there is so much more to this studio than just a great workout. I am so appreciative of the many ways they make this space feel safe, welcoming, and encouraging and it has allowed me to let go of a lot of the insecurities and discomfort that I have felt in gyms. The way they instruct creates a healthy balance of challenging ourselves while also honoring our bodies as they show up that day. While I dont have children myself, I love that they create child friendly options within their schedule. I havent done their classes virtually but Im glad Ill have the option to do them live or at a time that works for me. I know that Id be much more likely to do them knowing Id be following the instructors that Im used to taking classes with in person. I havent tried their add ons like personal training, their run clubs, or their 10 week strength courses, but its great that they exist and I plan to look into them in the future. Ive never been in such a diverse fitness space or one that is specifically for women, and its amazing what a difference that makes. That, combined with other little touches like asking a "question of the day" as we warm up, outdoor meetups, and things like food drives and meal kit assembly parties, shows that SSWF is focused on building and uplifting the community within the space as well as outside of it.

Jose Teo Henrys was great. Went there with my buddy after running a marathon. We got a small lift session and nice long recovery session as well. Gyms larger than expected. The hydro massage was amazing. Along with the frost locker and red light sauna were perfect to use after our run. Jess was extremely helpful and kind! Give her a raise immediately

James Sutter Ive been to a lot of gyms over the years, and this one is hands-down my favorite. The staff are friendly, and theres a great neighborhood community vibe. While its not as big and fancy as a giant corporate gym, Im always able to get the equipment I need, and I appreciate that Bull and the rest have so much experience with competitive lifting. If youre looking for a spot to lift, rather than just a sea of exercise bikes (though they have those too), this is the spot for you.

Pete Schwab Great gym. Hidden gem in Georgetown. The vibe here could not be more welcoming. It’s like a really cool family. Coaches are top notch. I’ve been weight training at 777 for over a year with Taylor, the owner. Her programming really works for me and I’ve had great results. I get super personal coaching that has pushed me as an athlete, but in a safe, methodical approach. I’d recommend this gym to anyone.

Victoria H West Seattle Health club is great! My wife and I both have memberships and we enjoy this gym! The staff are all very nice and friendly, including the personal trainers and instructors. I attend Monday evening water aerobics class and I always enjoy it! My personal trainer is Jason. He is phenomenal and really cares about his clients. I highly recommend either him or Zac S. if you are looking for a good personal trainer. The facilities are a mix of older equipment and newer equipment, but they do keep the areas clean. The building is a bit older, but it doesn’t bother me. They also offer cryotherapy and massage. I will say that parking is a real pain. It can be so challenging finding parking, especially on weekday evenings. A massive headache! I wish they would address this and find solutions. It is a bit more expensive than some other gyms in the area, but you get a large selection of classes and services that you may not get at other area gyms. Otherwise, I highly recommend WSHC for your fitness needs. It’s a great gym! Chauna and the entire management team are great and very responsive.

Lily K My favorite gym of all time!! Plants and lights and disco balls and also all the machines you’d ever need. They somehow keep breaking down walls and adding new rooms too so it’s also kind of a fun maze. You never know what you’ll find. Good community and responsive management when you need something.
