Teresa Mccoy This salon is beautiful and i really NEVER trusted anyone with my hair. When getting hair extensions, its important to make sure your stylist is experienced and certified. Coretha is so welcoming and really takes her time to answer any questions. Its amazing the compassion she has for her line of work, & the way she cares about her clients and the integrity of every hair type. . Not to mention The products used smells aaaaamazing! Coretha is so beautiful and so fun to talk too, she literally walks every single person out to their car when finished to make sure their safe…. Absoultely just the SWEETEST!!!!! Thank you sooo much!!!!!

Robyn Coretha is one of a kind. I sincerely appreciate her professionalism and warm spirit. When it comes to styling your hair, she listens. Her attention to detail is impeccable. Anjels Playground I havent been in a salon like this in a while if not ever! Coretha was so warm and welcoming and she made me feel confident that not only could she do the hairstyle I requested, but also care for my natural hair and ensure growth which is most important to me. I could go on, but Ill just say if youre considering booking an appointment just do it.

L H Teresa is amazing! And such a color expert!! Update 2/12/2022 I returned to turn my hair rose gold and Teresa made my wish come true. She helped me transform my dark brown hair into blonde in October 2021. I had a touch up in December, and now Im a pretty rose gold! Teresa is experienced, shes so sweet, she listens to your ideas. I send her pictures via text and she helps me to understand how much or how little of a process we need to do in order for me to have whatever picture Im sharing. I love her, Im sure you will too!

Kelli Haverly I am LOVING my new(1st) hair cut and color from Teresa! With her flexible schedule I was able to get in for my service quickly and she did not disappoint. She turned my blob of a hair cut and brassy color into a new sassy style that makes me feel confident and good about myself again. Dreya Coleman Paige was fantastic. She was caring, patient, and skilled at her trade. I’m so grateful she was available to fix my hair. My hair is very thick, curly and I have a pixie. The last person to do my hair hacked it off in such a way I had no idea if anything remotely decent could be made of it. Paige worked her magic and while it’s not the cut I wanted, it’s a heck of a lot cuter than what I walked in with. And I mean the lady before buzzed my hair way too high, buzzed even my longer hair, and snipped to less than 3” in all kinds of random directions. It was a mess. Paige (somehow) returned my curls, set me up for growth success, and restored my confidence. If I’m ever in the area and in need of a trim I’d definitely come back. Highly recommend ❤️❤️❤️

Ashini Jagtiani My go to stylist is Christine, she’s been styling my hair for almost two years now. From color to cut to general advice, she’s the best ! I highly recommend her, I trust her to do what’s best for me and mostly just leave my entire styling up to her! Also love the union salon vibe, I love it!

FERNI The hairdresser was very nice, but cut way too much of my hair off. Despite being told it would still be long enough to wear up or style as I had requested, so far it has proved to be extremely difficult to do anything with. I enjoyed the vibe of the place but will likely not be coming back

Jessica Kincaid Giving 3 stars because I came in for a haircut with softened ends as I wear my hair up for work and hate the look of a blunt cut. A week or 2 goes by and my coworker points out its very un even. I hadnt noticed but after taking some time to look she was right it was very jagged and not even. I called and asked to reschedule for a fix with the original stylist. This is now a couple weeks later. The original stylist cancels last min and I get booked for a haircut fix with a totally different person (they were very polite and kind-all the stylist are Im not here to complain about thier character). This new person proceeded to give me layers. I never asked for layers. I have very long hair and this changed the way I have to style it now and the kicker is! It was once again UN-EVEN. They got me in an out without having me adjust my head or stand up to see the length of my hair from it laying on my back naturally. Im astounded it happened twice. Of course they dont offer re-funds which is fine. But when I brought this to thier attention they said "oh well now its been too much time from the original appointment so if you want to have it fixed we are going to CHARGE YOU again." Insane customer service for that alone.

Gisele V. Ana Mendez is hands down the best hair stylist I’ve ever had, and I don’t say that lightly. From the very first time I sat in her chair, I could tell she genuinely cares about her clients. She has this rare gift of really listening to what I want, even when I’m not great at explaining it, and somehow turns it into a look that’s even better than I could have imagined. She’s not just a stylist; she’s an artist. Her attention to detail is incredible, and I’m always blown away by how precise and intentional she is with every extension install, move up, cut, color, or style. Beyond her insane talent, Ana is just an amazing person. She’s warm, kind, and has this calming energy that makes every appointment feel like a little retreat. I always leave her chair feeling not just more confident but genuinely cared for. She’s so passionate about what she does, and it shows in every aspect of her work. Ana has completely transformed how I feel about my hair. I trust her 100% with every decision, and that’s something I’ve never been able to say about a stylist before. Maran Mascaro The owner of Seven Four Seven salon, Sydney, has been my hairstylist since 2016. I have received a large variety of hair services from her over the years, and I have been duly impressed with all of her work. Her skills as a stylist are top-tier, and she has a wonderful knack for friendly conversation as well. I always look forward to my appointments. I was thrilled when Sydney assumed ownership of the Seven Four Seven salon space. The remodel has converted the salon into a warm, friendly place where one can relax and feel pampered. When it comes to experience, Sydney and Seven Four Seven deliver EVERY time! Highly recommend!

whitney donahue Finding a good hairdresser is as hard as finding a good spouse.. but its easy to find your match made in heaven at Seven Four Seven. The salon has been completely renovated and is homey and welcoming. Everyone is friendly and the atmosphere is always fun. More importantly, everyone who works here is the best of the best and so talented. This has been my salon of choice for years and I highly recommend!

Liam Wedel I love getting my haircut by Jessie! She originally did a “big chop” for me back in 2021…and she still cuts my hair! I love what she does with my curls and her fades are unmatched. She has also colored my hair and really makes me feel awesome.

Laurel Means This is hands down the best salon in Tacoma! Ive been coming here since Drake Nelson first opened, and can say with full confidence you will have an amazing experience. Not only is the salon beautiful, like something youd want to remodel your home space after (all their plants are so great!), its such a fresh, clean, comfortable atmosphere. I genuinely look forward to coming in not only for my hair, but a relaxing and uplifting experience as well. I always see Marie and she is truly amazing, but everyone Ive met and watched do hair during my appointments are really great as well. Its truly just so much fun going here, and such a relief to have a stylist I trust. Everyone here knows how to do all the most popular and trending looks super well too; literally everyone I see with finished hair while getting my own done looks so good. Im naturally a dark brunette who is forever seeking that soft beigey blonde balayage look, and Marie has been a joy to work with in accomplishing that goal. She is always very honest and upfront about what process well need to use to accomplish the look I want. I finally have hair I really love and its thanks to her! Go see Marie!

Anna C Over the years I have found it very hard to find the stylist that can blend the highlights I want in my hair with such exactness. It matches my skin tone and I dont have to come in so often for maintenance since the root area blends well with the remainder of the highlights. Lisa Kelly is skilled at her profession and was incredibly courteous. I wouldnt hesitate too long to book with her because I can see her being one of those stylist thats booked out for weeks.

Yuliya Eaglin Loved my experience with Marci. Very pleasant, knowledgeable hairdresser/cosmetologist. Professional and attentive. From the first 5 minutes I was able to relax with confidence “I’m in good hands”. My hair is long and I’m very particular about how it looks. She blended my highlights into natural look. Danielle It was my first time meeting Marci today to get my hair colored and cut. She is super kind and made me feel very comfortable. Mari Barragan Chosen as always did a great job, she is the only reason we come to this salon. My son has recommended her to everyone he knows. He and his friends would follow her to whatever salon she is at. This last time, we needed a perm/cut on a specific day that didnt interfere with vacations and school, she connected us with Fabi who was able to take care of us on that specific day. Chosen is such a positive person, and you can tell she cares about her clients thats probably why she has so many. 5 Stars for Chosen Fabi did an amazing job. This was the first time getting a perm with her and he was very pleased. She took the time to explain everything to him. 5 stars for Fabi Yesterday was not the best experience we had at the salon. A woman in one of the rooms was cursing and berating Chosen in front of all the clients there. She apparently thought that Chosen was talking about her, but she wasnt, she was talking about salon set ups at this and other salons. Despite Chosen repeatedly trying to tell her to calm her down, and remind her that her attitude was unprofessional, the woman continued to harass her. Chosen did her best to mellow the situation, but the woman was out for blood. I can vouch for Chosen that she did nothing wrong, I was there and saw the whole thing. Not only were there kids in the salon, like chosen said they could have talked after. Chosen tried to play it off and apologized repletely to the clients although it wasnt her fault; the other woman kept on yelling and not once apologized for her behavior. The owner should let that woman go she clearly doesnt care about the reputation the salon gets. Chosen is the reason we came here; she is the reason we stayed and if the day comes when she isnt here that will be there reason we go. 1 Star for that awful woman

Greysen McLaughlin ! My son got a haircut and one of the other female workers was cussing his barber out during the hair cut. Only reason we came to bangs is for chosens cuts but the environment ruins the experience for him.

Melodie Sobrenilla I’ve recently booked a haircut and color at this location and they didn’t disappoint! I love the new space and am glad that I now have two locations I can go too. I normally go to the sumner location, but for this appointment I was staying at my boyfriend’s in Tacoma so it was very convenient! Madie took care of me and the photos/videos speak for themselves! I wanted to go back to brown from my red that was washed out. I will definitely be booking with her again! Highly recommend this salon for anyone who is looking for a stylist!

Sara Bel Jenny is an amazing nail artist. Her studio is very clean, sanitary and welcoming. The conversation is wonderful and a nice break in my day. I have difficulty with my nails lifting but theyve not lifted once with her work. In addition her nail art is beautiful and she always makes it fit my vibe. Well worth the drive.

Jen Yeatman Eleanor works magic on my hair every time I go in! I always get a cut/style that works for my hair type and the time I have to style it, and the color is perfect every time! I wont let anyone else touch my hair, or my daughters! The salon has a great atmosphere and has a great selection of not only hair care product, but fashion items as well. I seriously feel like its a little vacation from life when I go in for a cut or color.

Naomi Herrera This salon is hands down the best Ive ever been to! Naja is a hair coloring goddess. The owners are amazing and passionate about their work. I love how they work as a team too! So you are getting the expertise from an entire team when getting your hair done. You can beat the atmosphere. Ive met some of the most amazing women who both work and receive services here.

Anna Matsunaga I have been going to Embellish now for years. Love the place, the atmosphere is kicked back and casual and a little funky. However this is not why I go. I go because I have naturally curly, very fine hair. I have always had a hard hard time getting a cut that works with my hair. Once I find some one who can do that, well I dont want to go anywhere else. Heather knows what she is doing with curly hair and unlike most places I have gone in the past where they have my hair cut in like 15 minutes, despite the fact my hair is short she invests almost an hour getting it just right. I can also go back any time for a bang trim for free which is nice since it extends the time between cuts a bit. Trish has cut my hair as well and they both do a great job. I get a slightly different cut each time although it is similar to the last. They pretty much work with what my hair wants to do which is the key to working with curly hair in my opinion. Have always liked every cut I got there. They have also cut my little girls hair ( in fact she got her first cut there). They always make her feel so special and she loves it too and the cuts are cute cute cute.

Jeffrey Whitehead Elle and her associates are top-notch. The retail portion has some cool stuff. Nice hand made lamps and cutting boards.

E So I had been wanting to chop my hair and I’ve never gone to a salon I usually cut my own but for this I need someone lol and I chose the right place! She was so gentle and fast I was wanting to fall asleep lol. The price was so affordable but I think her work is worth more! I love my new hair, it came out so good! I will definitely be coming back

Naraja Sue is amazing! She’s given me the best perm I’ve seen. She’s kind, charming, and really knows what she’s doing. She has tons of experience so I really recommend coming here to get your hair done.

Sarah Pittman This was my third time coming to Sue. The first time I got highlights and a cut, turned out perfectly. The second time, got just a cut and also it was great. This time, I wanted an all over color which is what I asked for, and she ended up just doing really chunky highlights and totally RUINED my very delicate, baby fine, blonde hair after she tried to do a correction and added in more highlights to cover up the patchiness, then did a toner at my request because of how yellow the color had turned out. She over toned me, and I left with bald patches, purple hair, and my hair is fried. I got my money back, left in tears, and I have to now try to find someone else who can maybe fix it. Ive been wearing hats every since after she was charging $250 for that hack job of a coloring. Literally, the worst thing thats happened to my hair in 42 years. Im devastated.

Nina Kate at Kalon Salon does a great job on my curly hair. I have thick 2B curls and I’m very picky about how I like it cut. I followed Kate to Tacoma from North Gate. It took me years to find the right stylist for my hair and Kate is worth every minute of the drive south. She is knowledgeable about curls and really understands how to work with different hair types. I highly recommend her!

Azaria Evans I have really enjoyed working with Mashae at Regal Hair Studios. She is very professional and does amazing work every time! She is very informative and makes sure that your input is involved in the process.

Destiny Lee After searching for what seemed like forever i was lucky enough to work with Savannah! She took my pitch black hair to exactly what I hoped my hair would be. She was so patient! So freaking kind! She walked me through the entire process and eased my anxiety that was clearly there. While other stylists were adamant about letting me leave with orange hair and giving 6 week breaks between, Savannah knew her stuff! She worked that toner to a level , cut where it needed to be and again took her time with me to make sure I left happy! Removing box color is hard freaking work! Not once did I sense frustration or impatience from the time she took to take care of my hair, or by the amount of product she had to end up using to complete my hair! I also met Ana who I have heard nothing but amazing things about. They both came highly recommended! Again the time an effort stylist like these take to really ensure us as the clients are happy is why people HAVE TO BE PREPARED this work is not easy, and it’s not cheap. Your hair and their time is an investment and if you want good quality work done, then be ready for the cost and time it takes . Highly recommend Savannah and will definitely go back to her for my hair needs!

Koryna Lira Ive been going to Sharon for more than a year now and every single time I visit she exceeds my expectations! I love the way she works with my ideas of how I would like the outcome of my hair, and how she gives me her ideas as well until I reach the perfect hair color and style. She does coloring, cutting, washing, all while making sure your hair is as healthy as it can be in the end. Her prices are very reasonable too, I usually have my entire hair colored for $200 and its a medium length. Keep in mind that the price all depends on what you are looking for and the current condition of your hair. I would definitely recommend you to check her salon out, its super comfortable and she has snacks and drinks for those really long sessions! Sharon is amazing! Marissa Snyder Alisha is amaaaazzziinng with color correction! When I came in over a year and a half ago I had a terrible box dye red (Im a natural blonde) that I was desperate to get rid of and get back to a natural color that I could be able to live in without much maintenance. To say Alisha delivered is an understatement! In one visit she was able to make my hair color look intentional, and as we worked it lighter and lighter over time my hair grew in happy and healthy too. Im so glad I was able to trust her to get me back to feeling more like myself, I have a lot of apprehension with new stylists, but this is the best Ive felt about my hair in a looooong time!

Renee Hoffman Alisha continues to be a superior hairstylist. I constantly am amazed at how she is able to listen to what I want and execute it. She has turned me into the California beach blonde of my dreams. My hair color is stunning. It has been difficult to find a colorist that can do "lived in blonde" well. I can tell her training and years in the industry, along with natural ambition and skillset, have made her into an elite stylist. I also appreciate that Alisha never oversells me. She is knowledgeable on products and services when I want them but doesnt push me to purchase/ have things done when I dont. This makes for a pleasant experience overall. I am so grateful to have found Alisha and am very happy with the look and feel of my hair since becoming a client.

Plum Royal 10/5 stars. I’ve been a client of Jocelyn’s for many years, well over a decade. I should’ve posted this year ago, but here it is: this is your new salon home. Located at the side entrance of the building, there’s a small paid parking lot, but also lots of street parking for free on the streets, atmosphere is always kind, calm, friendly, and real. Jocelyn and Bravo are both experts in their field and their work together speaks for itself in the vibe of the shop. I’ve never had a bad haircut in Jocelyn’s hands, she had taken the time to learn my cowlicks and lifestyle. My hair is wash-and-go now and I’ve never had more compliments. All this, and her salon is warm and welcoming too. I will continue be a loyal client. Love you, your kind heart, and your mad hair skills, Jocelyn!

The only negative I would say is since she has plants in the frount window there are some sugar ants in that area. But for the price and the quality I highly recommend ❤️

Diana worked on giving me a blended balayage. I have really dark, coarse hair (and lots of it!) and often really hard to lift/process. Diana had a great grasp on color theory and she painted the most beautiful ribbons (balayage) into my hair. I loved the placement and how even my hair lifted. teresa rollins Alison has done my hair for 4 years now and I wouldnt go anywhere else! As a hairdresser myself I have a hard time trusting others. She is a consummate professional who gives an excellent consultation and executes her craft exquisitely!

Jamie Brindley-Bagent I had purchased a Groupon for a Brazilian wax and booked the appointment for 8 November 2023. My appointment was for 1600, but I wasn’t brought back till 1610. The service ended @1625, and I was out the door by 1630. DD was aware that I had purchased a Groupon before the appointment and did not tell me before the service the Groupon was a one-time use. I had previously used one on 22 February 2022. We even discussed that the first time I came in, and I had found her on Groupon. I’m not from the area but I have now moved to Tacoma and was looking for a new aesthetician. She still did not state the one-time use during the service. I had a full Brazilian wax on 27 October 2023, two weeks previously. I just needed a quick touch up before my weekend trip. Which DD was aware of. Still did not mention the use of Groupon. After the service DD refused to use my Groupon and had me pay the full amount. She said I would need to contact Groupon for a refund. I apologized for the mistake; I wasn’t aware of the one-time purchase. I did assume I was able to purchase it again because they sent out a notification of the deal. I think it was incredibly unprofessional to not explain during the service that you would charge someone the full amount of $80. Even after discussing my Brazilian two weeks previously and stating there wasn’t much hair growth to remove. DD could have given more grace to the misunderstanding. Possibly charge a maintenance Brazilian because of this specific situation. I would have rebooked the appointment for a later date, to have the full service. You should be able to have open and honest discussions about pricing for services. This felt intentionally deceptive. I would be cautious of Salon services. I don’t feel they would give an honest quote for the correct services after this experience.

bonnie vendsel I went to see the owner Alison due to reviews. The recent salon visit was a horrible experience, waiting 15 minutes before anyone acknowledge me. I felt like she was rushing thru my apt and not focused. She had her intern put color on me while she serviced another client. I felt uncomfortable with this. I thought the color look OK but only for 3 days, became very dry frizzy and yellow. She was in a hurry putting the foils in and then had her intern put rest of color I. Horrible, then I was charged almost $300. Would not recommend With your response as a salon owner and professional displays how truly unprofessional you are with the false comments that you made. The red flags were there you did not listen to the client. and you were in a hurry and not focused. Dont blame the client for your incompetence, take responsibility for the service you provided or did not provide, making false statements with an accusatory tone is slander. If you would like I can show you the pictures of my damage hair and the uneven cut. I understand your phones were out and you stated you were stress out at the appointment.The best thing you could of done for me as a client would be to cancel my apointment, if you were unable to provide high quality hair services. Now my hair is so badly damaged, I cannot do anything with it except soak my hair in coconut oil and continue to condition. No I do not use cheap shampoo as you stated.

Alexa Peterson For years and years Ive dyed my own hair and never stuck to regular hair trims, until I went to Le Fleur. Alison, the owner, really listened to everything I had to say about my hair and my history. She convinced me to let her do some color, which in previous experience never turns out. Needless to say, she is super talented and my hair has never felt more healthy and looked so pretty. Le Fleur is very budget friendly and seems to be very willing to work with you on your goals if you have a tight budget. Gone are the days of box dye and DIY haircuts for me, thanks to Le Fleur!

The Tax Lady 4U They listen to what I ask 4 and what will work for my hair type. Having a glass of wine after a real hectic week is the perfect way to end the day

Nadine Went to this salon for the first time when looking for someone to style our hair for a wedding. The timing was tight but we were able to get in to see Dawn and Stephanie. Both did a beautiful job and we appreciate their help in making us feel ready for the wedding. The salon itself is amazing and the wine bar is very unique and adds to the overall atmosphere. Ginger Seitz **this review was written 8 months ago as of September 4,2018** This is hard for me to write, Ive been contemplating writing this review as its a couple months late, I feel bad for waiting so long to do this review, but it is what it is, hair is a very personal thing. Miss Ehrin does a fantastic job with cutting curly hair, I decided to try the elumen hair line along with my devacut, I will take some of the blame and say I didnt communicate enough with miss Ehrin, I am VERY specific and picky about my copper orangey Reds. She put the bleach in my hair, and didnt put me under heat(this is the only way to get my hair to lift), and missed a few spots, (shergot to color the roots), particularly in the back because I didnt get put under heat, again, my fault for not asking her to put me under heat, when I realized the spots she missed, I wrote them a message about it, I had to come in and get it redone,(it was slightly alittle better, but she only did the color). She told me she wasnt/didnt wanna/gonna put me under heat because it would cause damage(bleach) and that it was gonna be a "corrective" color issue from that point on out(which is b.s.i paid for hair lighting and hair color.),I know what my hair can handle and its the reason why I love olaplex,my hair is healthy because of it. :) Which was supposed to be included in the color session according to her site,dont think she did,but maybe Im wrong, she seems to change things alot without notice... She also wouldnt let me look at the hair/swatch book. Oh well. Kinda weird, but oh well, Ive also never had a red hair dye that bleeds for 2 and half months, not joking,it finally just stopped bleeding a few weeks ago. I paid 200+ for a bad color that I saved up for and was uneven.(which wasnt easy for me to do, but I did cause I wanted to treat myself.) and I feel like I really got screwed over big time,for 200 bucks, I expect near perfect hair,Ive gotten much better results at other salons that were 60 bucks for color,REALLY wish I would of demanded my money back. I was hesitant on writing this review cause I was trying to get over the situation so I can go back to her just for the devacuts,we all make mistakes, but I feel like Ive wasted enough gas driving 2 hours to get there and back and it really did leave a bad taste in my mouth. I recommend Miss Ehrin for cutting curls, maybe actual highlights, or a basic simple color. Anything that requires bleaching the hair and adding color? I dont recommend. Unfortunately, Im sad to say; she is not the hair stylist for me(this was my second devacut from her,so Im really bummed.). Wont be back. Sorry, azzara salon.

Steph Hill I just LOVE Chelsea! I originally found her through a Groupon I purchased and I am so happy I did! I have now been going to her for over a year and she has done a couple partial foils and all over color and I have ALWAYS been very happy with her work and my hair! My hair has never been so healthy! She is a lot of fun to talk to and really pays attention to what you want and need and it shows in her work! I am super happy I found Chelsea as I have now found my forever hair stylist! :)

Kelley Carter Had another great experience at Azarra Salon today. My teenage son had his haircut appointment with Jennifer today and she did a great job, as always! My son really likes Jennifer and feels he gets the best cut from her. The salon is nice and a fun place to go to especially when the dogs are there. We highly recommend Jennifer and know you would receive excellent service if you chose Azarra Salon.
