Jasmine Rancore Modern nails is the absolute best place in Lynden. They are amazing. Can’t Expressed that enough, whether you’re looking for gel X nails or acrylic nails or just a manicure or pedicure they are the best. They are even great with kids that I have gotten by far. Sunny did an absolute amazing job.

Brittany Scheppe I had to find a new nail salon due to moving and found this gem! Cloudy does amazing work and the experience is always great! Posted are my recent Halloween nails but have gotten beautiful previous sets from her as well!

Catharine Hargenrader My mom, sister and I came to do full Manis/Pedis for my sisters wedding week! The work was top quality and the staff were soooooo friendly!!! We will def be back so much more for top tier service.

Kara Skrocki been coming here for over a year and the skill and friendliness of the staff never ceases to amaze me. Hanna always does such a good job, she exceeds my expectations every time.

Danielle Miller I have been coming here religiously for years and have never left unhappy or disappointed. The color selection is immense, the staff does a fantastic job with any and all types of nails, shellac, acrylic, nail art, pedicures, you name it!! Outside of nail talent, the staff are all so kind and welcome me back with smiles and personal greetings. I cannot recommend Angel Nails enough to anyone needing any type of nail care!

Chelsea Joefield I’ve been going here for years and I love it! Lisa always does amazing. I get acrylic overlay on my natural nails and rarely have lifting or broken nails. As someone who uses their hands a lot, that has kept me coming back!

Brianna M My mother in law and I went for pedicures it was so wonderful I had to come back and get a full set! I haven’t had my nails done in so long and was quickly reminded by the wonderful service of Tina, Lisa and the gentleman I didn’t get the names of. Absolutely wonderful! Also they have these steaming machines for legs during the deluxe pedicures that I had never seen before and oh my let me tell you that was a lovely addition to the amazing service they provide. Do yourself a favor and go to Angel Nails!

Liz Binnington Got an eyebrow wax and a basic manicure, my friend got an eyebrow wax and a basic pedicure. Great service and we were taken care of right at our appointment. Not too much pressure to upgrade which was nice. Definitely plan on coming back

Sarai Stevens It was Tuesday morning, and my friend and I were having a hard time finding a place open and able to serve two at the same time. This salon is new and very accommodating, and ended up being the best pedicure I’ve ever had.

Yanory Restrepo Katia’s nails is the best salon in Bellingham, her knowledge and costumer service is above and beyond. I love how she treats all her customers with such high standards even kids and male customers. This place is so clean!

Tom is easy to work with and is always willing to do the style and length that I want. I’ve trusted Tom with my wedding nails and all special occasions. They’re the best.

Gabby Cholak I came in as a first time client to this salon to have a fill done on my acrylic nail extensions. I was told by the female technician that she is unable to do a fill because the previous salon had applied the acrylic too thick and that a whole new set would be necessary. Although I was reluctant to remove acrylics that were only about a month old and start over, I agreed since I didnt like the fake look of the thick nails and wanted that fixed. The technician took around an hour removing the nails and another hour applying a new set. I was running behind my schedule by the time she finished and was rushing out the door, I briefly glanced over my finished nails, paid, and left. Once I got home and washed my hands, in the process washing off cuticle oil, I realized nothing had been done to push back or trim my cuticles and I had unsightly overgrown cuticles/hang nails. I couldnt believe she would have just completely ignored such an important aspect of nail prep. So I went ahead a pushed them back and trimmed them myself. This however resulted in a big gap between my nail bed and the acrylic that looks like a couple weeks of growth! I took before and after pics and contacted the salon, the woman who helped me said to come back and she would fix the problem. I couldnt come back for a week since I was heading out of town that night, so we agreed I would come back a week from the original appointment. I called before going in as we had discussed to make sure she remembered me and would still take care of fixing the problem, I was told by a male coworker to come on in. I drove all the way from Nooksack area and when I got there the technician who had done my nails told me she wouldnt fix them without further charges and offered to do a fill with same color for $35 which she claimed was $15 off normal price. I told her I didnt think it was fair for me to have to pay for additional services that wouldnt be necessary if she had done my nails correctly to begin with. She blamed me for the cuticles not being addressed and that I messed her work up by pushing/trimming them back myself. She was rude, acted like she couldnt care less about my business and satisfaction, and she told me to go somewhere else. I left agreeing with her thats what I would be doing. *** Reading through the negative reviews the cuticle issue has been a problem for others who have complained about it as well. (1st 2 pics are before I fixed the cuticles and the following 2 are after I trimmed them)

Melissa * 3 week update* because my toenails were cut crooked and the ingrown side skin wasnt trimmed properly on my toes- I started developing an ingrown toe nail on my left big toe. I added a photo of the piece i trimmed myself since I knew if i waited it was going to be more painful. I also added a photo of my crooked toe nail so you can see how it looks after 3 weeks. My nail health still hasnt recovered! - after initial experience i did go back 2 days later. The owner Tom was rude but he did completely redo my manicure/pedi (as far as cuticle and nail prep). But since I waited 2 days for it to be fixed..I did ask for a partial refund. He refused unless I gave up getting my nails painted... So I got 10$ back and he joked that I should change my review! I WILL NOT! If your not getting acrylics from Tom- i suggest you go elsewhere. Poorly trained workers here- store wasnt busy and service was terrible, condescending behavior when I wasnt the one who messed up. -------- Came in for a dip removal and basic mani & pedicure with gel removal. I called ahead and there was no wait time. Honestly, I wouldnt recommend anyone coming to this salon. She left my old polish all over my toes! My hands are a mess: they didnt cut my cuticles on my hands fully (theres chunks of uneven all over), leftover dip polish on the edges and under my nails, and when my cuticle tore because of filing- she didnt trim it to fix it. I actually just paid and left- didnt let them paint because of how the service was going. I also didnt say anything because I was tired and wanted to leave. 70$ for service. I didnt notice all the issues right away besides the cuticles. Regardless I did ask her to fix it during my appt and she didnt. Posted photos. Beware!!!

Allie Best Please visit this place! I went for waxing and a pedicure and manicure and got the best service ever. I was having a hard week and Hannah made me feel blessed. She took the time to make me feel better, she cared for me and understood how much I needed that time for myself. It was not my first time there, I really like going there when I have the time but I was able to do this yesterday without my kids and it was the best experience ever. She deserves so much more that just the money I could give her as a tip. I am totally satisfied with the service and the time and effort she took to make me feel care for.

Bayla Boobenstein Seriously the best nail place in Bellingham. I just left after getting a mani/pedi with Mai and Hao. BEST EXPERIENCE. Parafin wax, massage, kindness, clean, and best of all, I almost fell asleep. Please, give it a go, you will NOT regret the experience.

Mari Walker I had a manicure done and was very happy with the result. Hao was professional and friendly. I was offered a water, coffee, tea or a mimosa, and Hao put my hands in paraffin and massage my arms and neck, it was all wonderful! In fact I am taking my husband there so we can both do a pedicure.

Pearl Baimpwi I went in to get my nails done. I was given a color panel to look at, while I was looking at it, one of the girls snatched it from my hands and gave it to another customer. No excuse me or can I have this for a minute. I told her I wasnt done looking at it because it was just given to me, she totally ignored me. Then they argued over who would do my nails. The girl who did it did such a bad job, my nails had bumps and uneven color. I have been going there for 4 years every month. Very disappointing. Time to find a new nail place.

Donna Reed I love this salon! Kim always does a great job accommodating my strange requests like todays black acrylic nails with gold flakes! I love her artistic eye to make them look like fire crackers- not just coated in sparkles. The staff is always gentle on my manicures and pedicures too.

Jennifer taggart I went in as a walk in. I had checked their prices last night and saw a full set of pink and white acrylic was $40 dollars. I have bigger hands and when I got them done, they charged me $60 cause I wore them longer they said. My nails are not that long. Really bummed. I did like her work.

J Aceveda Kim at New Nails is the best. I came in on a Whim with a photograph of what I wanted and she gave me the most perfect dip manicure I’ve ever had. Amazing eye for detail and very knowledgeable about the products she uses. She’s so friendly, she made me feel right at home. Her prices are very fair for the quality work she provides. I’ll definitely be returning!

Kasey White I have been visiting here for almost 3 years for nail services and will never go to another salon! Kim is the best nail tech and always does such an amazing job. A truly talented artist and kind woman. She remembers what shape I like and adds the cutest details. 10/10 highly recommend.

Rachael Hope I have been going to a different salon, but started going to Professional Nails recently. I love that its a little smaller/cozier. They have a great selection of polishes and my nails look beautiful!

Mikayla Elizabeth I showed them a picture and they were able to do it, it came out beautiful. I’m really happy with them. The guy did my nails. I seem to always get the one male nail tech when I go to get my nails done, not complaining tho, i find that the men are really good at nails. Like really good. I could tell that they were in a rush, but they were done efficiently and quickly. I asked about four times if they could go back and make the nails thinner, which sometimes they get annoyed about but they did it no problem. I payed 95 for these which I expected. Only thing I would complain about was they kind of rushed to get me out of there and I was really hoping for like the lotion hand massage or at least to put oil on my nails so they look cute when I take a picture afterwards. But other than that, it was great I would go back for sure especially if they’re not super busy

Natasha Luna I will never go to another salon in Bellingham! Not to be like that but I had such an amazing experience here. They did such a great job with competitive pricing and were genuinely kind. Also give shoulder massages and gave us paraffin wax! I felt valued where often at other salons I have felt rushed and an inconvenience. Thank you so much!!! Best of all my nails look amazing.

nitanita They are very nice here and pleasant to talk to. But $100 only to have parts of my nails not even fully coated is unacceptable. Plus a tip on top of that. I wont be back. I asked if I could make my pedicure a gel one and the girl said i could and it wasnt too late and she could do it gel. and then she pretended not to remember what i said because they were out of time and wanted to go home. They didnt give a discount or anything for the inconvenience. They shouldnt take clients past 5pm if they arent able to give them what they are paying for and to pay attention to painting the entire nail. I had called in advance to ask if they had time to do both hands and feet. They should have been honest. Im going to have to get my nails done again soon because of all of the missing spaces on my fingernails not being done, not being painted completely. Theres no point in going back. I was just there last week and the next day my Nails have already chipped and paint has come straight off and my nails were filed and grinded so thin that they are just chipping off and scratching me

Clarence Grayson I got these nails done with Nina about two weeks ago (photo is from day after) but I still get compliments all the time. My mother said I have “angel nails”! I highly recommend her and her staff. I got an amazing complimentary shoulder massage and Nina made sure I was happy with my nails before I left. Needless to say, I will back very soon to get a new set!

Sammy Hignell-Stark I’ve gone to Nina’s three times now for acrylics and fills. I’ll start this off by saying if Nina’s had an email, I would take this up privately because I don’t want to be a naysayer and I’m not ordinarily set on posting poor reviews. However, the initial set was great: smooth, even, and shiny. I feel like the tech took her time and got proper nail prep so the set stayed nice until the fill. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same thing about the two subsequent fills, as they have been lumpy bumpy and nearly every nail lifted up at the cuticle edge. I held off saying anything the first fill curious if it was just an off day. But today I got another fill, and I’m quite disappointed. Each nail is uneven, the acrylic is lumpy and bumpy, and when I tried to bring these issues up with my tech, she kept saying “I don’t see it.” I really have tried to like Nina’s because I know they are all really hard working folk and a few friends go here and love it, and my first set was so good. I just can’t shake the disappointment I’ve walked away with these last two appointments, especially since I brought these issues up multiple times and was brushed off. :(

VaSáge Miss BE WARNED & WATCH THE PRICE CAREFULLY EACH TIME!! I was looking for new regular nail salon, not only is this convenient for me the price was great at first. When I went back for a fill she charged me the same amount as a full set and expected a tip on top of it too. Went back one more time to get a fill and again same price as a full new set. I didnt say anything because I wanted to see what she was going to do. The original was a dip and that was the cheapest price, each fill was acyrilic and more money. Since, Ive never gone back and wont. By the way it was the owner who had done this each time too, even worse!

abby I use to love going here. I havent been for a couple years I went back and now I will NEVER go back. It was not the owner but the other woman in there (shorter with glasses I believe)with her always did my pedicure and it was the worst one Ive ever had. I now have SCABS on my toes and they were in pain for weeks. It actually hurt to walk around. She continuously was hurting me the whole time. I got gel polish and she had it all over my skin and I KNOW she saw it and still let it dry like that. She was not friendly either and just overall ruined how I looked at their salon. Very sad. Never again.

Jasmine Escalante I loved it! The ladies are really nice. I usually get cuts when I get manicures from other places but she made sure that my hands were comfortable and I got no cuts! I got the gel manicure with the cat eye polish which has a cool effect on it. Really happy with my nails. Thank you!

C Cartwright Fast and friendly service. I had acrylics removed and regular polish applied. She did a good job. She was gentle. She used the rotary grinder at a minimum which removes less nail bed. No wait without an appointment during the day.

Linda Wisehart In town for my sons wedding, found K Nails and they exceeded my expectations! Paraffin manicure was lovely, Mary also helped me decide on colors- she didnt like the first one ( neither did I) and she took the time to remove all toes polished and start over. Had an acrylic fill in , she created a smoother and more natural shape- plus trimmed cuticle ( which I have gotten kn my hometown with acrylics!). She also took the time yo show me different combinations of color+ chrome treatments to select best for mother of groom. Really attentive, atmosphere is relaxed and more spa-like; very clean and organized. Lots of colors and treatments offered. Post-manicure shoulder/neck rub is out of this world. If I lived here, K Nails would be my go-to salon. Fantastic experience!!!!

Megan Walls Let me start by saying my nails look great but I did have an issue when getting them done. I knew what I wanted and told her but the lady kept trying to convince me to change my mind. I did not appreciate that. She kept making suggestions and I kept having to tell her no until she finally relented and just did my nails.

James Nash I’ve been coming here for my pedicures for a number of years and was very satisfied up until today. Please be warned that the business has changed hands and so has the quality of the services provided. I showed up 10 minutes early for my appointment and from the very start, Chee seemed rushed. First problem was the temperature of the foot bath which was way to hot and I barely had a chance to soak my feet before she started, even though I was early. Three toes were cut and bled, which she attempted to control with a styptic solution. She then applied Neosporin. No apology was given. I paid the $35 fee in cash and told them that I would never return. With all the nail salons in Bellingham, there is absolutely no need to put up with such incompetence.

Emily McQuarrie I usually switch up my nail salons based on when I have time to get my nails done, but Ive made a point recently to ensure I go to M&T for a full set of acrylics. I’ve had issues with nail techs rushing through their work and not getting the acrylic all the way to the cuticle, so it grows out fast and comes apart even faster. But every time I go to Mai at M&T she does an amazing job with my acrylics, really takes her time and seems to take great pride in her work. My nails will last at least a few weeks longer when I get them done by her. Their work is phenomenal and their prices are competitive! I highly recommend! Mai is wonderful!

They have not returned one phone call for the last two months. I had to contact groupon and ask them to refund my purchased for the $70 for 30$ deal. Just really bad service.

Malgorzata de Kubber I have been coming to this salon a few times and it was one of the best in the area ( I dont find high standards no where in US with European quality work)but just today they lost a customer. I understand that different situations can happen in life and we have no control, but you have to take care of the clients if you want them to come back. On Monday, it turned out that the salon is not open but have sign MONDAY AND TUESDAY CLOSED, I think ok, something must have happened, I come on Wednesday and it is closed again with the same, unchanged sign. There was more people by the door the same disappointed as me. On Thursday I call and make an appointment for Saturday and ask for the latest possible appointment, I was told to come at 6.30 pm. So I drive up there all the way from Lynden and see that its closed but the light is on so I call, the owner picks up and says hes closing because he has to do something. I tell him that I had an appointment at 6.30 and he telling me I am late, surprised I asked how come I am late since I am before scheduled time and he told me that my appointment was yesterday. I explained that I did not sign up for Friday because I was working and I told him he could have informed me that my visit would not take place because something else comes up but he telling me over and over he needs to do something this why is closed.If he just call me and tell me he needs to cancel I will totally understand but no, he makes me drive for not reason spending my time and gas money. Good luck in the future, I hope you dont lost more clients!!

Cecilia Salman They told us to come I was with my mother-in-law and she is very hard for her to walk and so literally we called one minute and then when we got there, they told us they couldn’t take us! It’s so hard for her to walk

Journey Waters My friend and I get a pedicure every Full Moon and have art added. This was our first experience with Jimmy’s and OMG, the staff is so much fun! We enjoyed every aspects of the pedicure, and Annie’s art work is incredible! We actually had two different artists and I am sorry I didn’t get the others name, but it felt like they are such a cohesive group that they will choose the best person to do your art. This is our new favorite nail salon.

Terra Colbert Horrible Mani! I I LEFT ACTIVELY BLEEDING. I accompanied my friend for her full Mani/pedi and I decided to get my very nice but weeks old acrylic extensions removed. The nail tech just pried off the extensions without soaking it in acetone or doing any substantial filing down. She completely destroyed my nails and took off some of my skin too. I left bleeding with poorly trimmed and VERY damaged nails and somehow more hangnails than I came in with! I love doing my own nails, and while Im a amateur, I am completely shocked at how much damage this supposedly professional salon did to my fingers. Itll take months to get my nails back to how they were before I came in. While the nail tech was apologetic, Im completely shocked at how poorly she did. I wish I wouldve taken some before pics to just show how much damage she did but unfortunately I didnt. I would not recommend this place if you value the health of your nails. Completely unacceptable.

Bobbie Bartholomew Came here for a pedicure and told the staff it was for my wedding only two days away. The pedicure was NOT up to par for professional work, and this is not the cheapest place in town. Nearly $50 and I am frantically reshaping, fixing my cuticles, exfoliating to try and get it done on time - all things the salon should have done! The nail wasn’t shaped or filed nicely. The polish was not even laid thick enough to cover the natural nail, and this is not my first professional pedicure. I expected much better work out of this place. My friend left with a beautiful gel manicure and I left almost in tears. I’m not sure I’m going to get this amended in time

Kayla Barbosa Not worth the price at all. They don’t clean stations OR TOOLS in between customers. My cuticles were nicked not once, not twice, but three times to the point I bled a little. They didn’t reduce my final cost at all. The final design was as I requested, but not worth the hassle or physical pain of acquiring it. Very disappointed.

Skylar Duffy This was my first time getting my nails done at Jimmy’s salon. The girl that helped me was very sweet and reshaped each nail I had asked her to until I was happy with the symmetry. I didn’t specify what shape I wanted (square vs square-oval) so she just took the reins and surprisingly I really liked how she shaped them. This is the only time I have felt like my acrylics could resemble a natural nail. She did a great job making the shape complimentary to my fingers! The salon was quite busy, so I’d recommend calling ahead and scheduling an appointment. Otherwise, it was very cleanly and had a great selection of gel polish. Going to schedule a pedicure for tomorrow because I was so happy with their service!

Jessica Maassen I have been going to Happy Nails to see Sara for pedicures for several years. I used to get ingrown toenails, but Sara has resolved the issue. She is so kind and my toes always look so much better when I leave compared to when I came in. I get the same color each time and she will have it ready for my appointment. Happy Nails provides excellent customer service when I call to make an appointment and everyone is very friendly. They just remodeled their space and it looks bright, fresh, and professional! I would highly recommend Happy Nails.

Jaime White I have been going to Happy Nails for 20 years, and have always been understanding when there is the occasional bad manicure, problem etc. However, I just went for a pedicure and the technician used some sort of hard stone on my foot (no callouses so I’m not sure why she used such a painful tool.) On my first foot I said “ow, that hurts” and she stopped, but proceeded to do it again on my other foot! Both feet bled and are super painful. I am leaving on vacation in a day so now I get to roll around with open sores on my feet. The worse part is when I complained about it to the person ringing me up she just said “sorry”. Didn’t offer to discount my pedicure or anything. I think I will be changing nail salons as I have had several issues with my manicures (their products and skill level) and now my pedicure. And they have eliminated most of their nail colors so very limited colors to chose from.

Kajsa I want to start off this review by saying I am very grateful for them taking me in at 6:30; I asked if they could squeeze me in if it wasn’t an issue, and they did. This is why they get two stars. If I had known how they looked when I left I would have not gone. I hate to leave a review like this, but this is flat out unacceptable. Since I came in so late I really didn’t want to be a big pain in the neck, and tried to make things easy while getting the look I desired (going to a charity event tomorrow). I kept thanking my nail tech and tried to show appreciation for her working on these so late. I wanted some gold flakes on the gel to add more sparkle, and the set ended up being $66! I agreed to it and tipped $20 for the time it was taking for her to work on them. They looked gorgeous inside, but as soon as I got into a brighter setting I took a closer look. The acrylic is INSANELY thick. I have never had nails this thick before. The undersides are sloppy. The edge of my right thumb is not connected. They’re lumpy (the gold flakes are not what I’m referring to, that’s whatever), and I had to pick acrylic off of my hands. There’s polish on my fingers too. I’ve given this place multiple chances, and this is the last time I will come here. I am so grateful that they took me in today don’t get me wrong, but I wish they would have said no if quality was thrown in it the door to bring me in. They look nice from a distance though, at least.
