The hygiene experiences are no different from any other dental offices. But treatment is different, one day I felt a bit sharp spot on my tooth, I realize I might lost a tiny piece on that tooth, at my cleaning appointment, hygienist confirmed and said I need a filing, so I booked my appointment, but at my filling appointment, I was told I have 3 teeth to be filled at this appointment, and 3 teeth to be filled at next appointment. I was very surprised. During the treatment, doctor Yamaguchi seemed very busy, he was needed everywhere, and he had to leave during my treatment and had me wait 15min ish for him to come back.
After the first appointment, they had me come for a treatment consultation , at the consultation appointment, I was told I have another 3 teeth, 4 spots to be filled (there are 2 spots on one tooth). And after insurance, I needed to pay $176.60, but when I come for my appointment, I paid $200.60, and the treatment experience is even worse than first time.
Doctor Yamaguchi still seemed very busy, he was jumping from patient to patient. He finished filling on tooth and had to leave for another patient, the assistant used a tube to suck saliva from my mouth, and I had to keep my mouth open for 10 min just to dry my mouth when doctor is not even working on my teeth, and then assistant just grabbed someone that passed by to keep filling my teeth, and that person didn’t do any introduction, I don’t know who was working on me. And she accidentally hurt the inside of my mouth while drilling in tooth. It’s not very serious, but I don’t think it’s supposed to happen. At the end when she was smoothing my teeth, finally doctor Yamaguchi came back and took over . After the appointment I compared the bill $200.60 and the consultation estimate $176.60, I called to find out why, first front desk told me because I had 4 teeth filled at that appointment. I said that’s different from what they told me before, then they changed their saying that it’s only an estimate and they need to wait until insurance company to pay them to know how much exactly I need to pay, if they overcharged, they’ll refund me. And I was tired of dealing with them, decided to change my dentist.

Mary Holmberg I had to have a crown replaced—not my favorite thing to have done. I was pleasantly surprised that I experienced no pain from start to finish.
