I needed a watch for my sick husband and Nina did a nice job of showing me the watches. Cindy made sure the watch had the correct time and date, making it much easier for me! Everyone there had a welcoming smile and told me Thanks for coming in! A rarity these days. I would highly recommend them for your jewelry needs and excellent customer service!

1 /5 Elizabeth Thibodeaux: Had a bracelet "repaired". The gold piece they fixed has turned to copper or nickel. I showed it to the woman on duty. She told me it was probably medication I was taking that discolored it. She showed no interest in helping me resolve the problem. Just kept reiterating that it must be medication. I have had jewelry repaired there before with no issues. I will not be returning.

The employees at this place are all so friendly and helpful I am always happy to know they will take good care of me and my wife. Its nice to not feel like I am always being sold stuff when coming here they never force sell anything. You will be satisfied if you come to this Fred Meyer Jeweler.

Honestly when I go into places like jewelers or higher-end stores, I usually have a hard time getting any help at all due to my tattoos & less-than-casual clothing. I went in to see if they could tighten the posts on my ring that I purchased elsewhere. Linda was overly helpful, gave me lots of tips and advice on ring care and about what stone mine could be (Im not sure what it is), and even cleaned it for free for me! I really appreciate encountering non-judgemental people in retail because unfortunately they can be rare.

1 /5 Ryan Troglia: I brought a very nice Citizen watch in to have it sent somewhere (supposed to be the factory) for a new eco drive battery (watch was dead and would not turn on). The lady at the counter thought shed take a try at turning it on by pulling on the side set pin as hard as she could. I told her "thats not going to turn it on" but she continued to abuse my watch. She then agreed she would "send it in" after fifteen minutes of mishandling. The estimate was $50-$100. I also left my Seiko watch to have its battery replaced while I went shopping, as it was dead as well. When I came to pick up my Seiko, I immediately noticed the back plate was not in the original orientation. I paid for the battery replacement and left. Over a month had gone by and no call with update, so I called them. They said the new estimate was $480...and that it came to them with a broken set pin and damaged time set (the entire insides). There is absolutely no way with its mild usage, the TIME SET needed to be replaced. And I know for a fact the set pin worked when I left it with them, and Im inclined to believe that lady broke it at the store before even sending it. Two days later my Seiko watch went dead from a probably used battery they sold me. When I went in to pick up my watch after the repair, they replaced the dead battery in the Seiko once again. This time the guy there struggled for at least 15 minutes doing god knows what with his back turned to us trying to replace the battery. I feel like he may have secretly broke that watch too and tried to fix it quickly so we wouldnt notice. Battery replacements in these takes very little time. All in all I feel scammed for $400+ and will never go back, and will never suggest.

H S: I brought in a ring that was purchased for me 7 years ago. Something on it was catching threads, etc. I assumed it was a clasp and it would need repair. The woman working at the time was rude from the get-go. She said if I had been bringing my ring in every year to have it inspected, like everyone else does, a repair would be covered. Okay. Then she claims she tried to sell me the extended warranty but I didnt want it. I told her she didnt because I didnt buy the ring. She repeated that two more times. I corrected her again, and again. At this point, I realize Im dealing with an employee with an attitude. Now she starts talking about the stones and how lucky I am that I didnt lose any. Great. She talks about how I can trade up for only a few thousand dollars. No thanks. Finally, she goes back to looking at the ring and begins to write down all the problems she sees. She ends up with a lot of numbers on separate lines with a grand total of just under $5,000. Seriously.The experience was gross and really unpleasant. 3 weeks later, I take my ring into a respected jeweler for a repair estimate. He says its an easy repair. The cost will be $40. Seriously. Were not buying a thing from FM Jewelry ever again.
