1 /5 Krista Mitchell: Disappointing Experience – Unprofessional Staff and Poor Facility Upkeep
Unfortunately, my recent visit to the Federal Way LA Fitness left a lot to be desired. I came with family who are LA Fitness members in Alabama, and we were shocked by how unwelcoming and unprofessional the front desk staff were. One staff member spoke aggressively and even yelled at one of my visiting family members for no clear reason. At the same time, they completely ignored other guests who walked in without checking in.
The overall atmosphere was tense and uninviting, and it certainly didn’t reflect the customer service we’ve experienced at other LA Fitness locations. I had planned to ask about a guest pass and possibly joining, but after the interaction we experienced and witnessed, I let the manager know that I was no longer interested.
Additionally, the gym itself seemed poorly maintained. Some of the equipment looked outdated, and the workout area had very few—if any—cleaning supplies or paper towels available. Cleanliness and upkeep should be a priority, especially in a fitness environment.
I hope management takes these concerns seriously. This location could be so much better with the right leadership and attention to member experience.
