Firstname lastname I had a deeply disappointing experience with Scott Kalkwarf during my legal case. His handling of my trial displayed a serious lack of preparation, strategy, and advocacy. Despite providing him with clear evidence, documentation, and important details regarding my situation, Mr. Kalkwarf failed to effectively present them in court. He seemed disorganized, rarely followed up, and showed minimal understanding of the case facts—even during key moments of the trial. At times, it felt like he was completely unprepared or indifferent to the outcome. Instead of defending my position assertively, he allowed the opposing party’s narrative to dominate, often without objection—even when it was based on hearsay or emotional claims rather than facts. His lack of courtroom presence, failure to challenge inaccuracies, and overall weak representation significantly impacted the fairness of the proceedings. Hiring a lawyer should bring clarity, confidence, and strong advocacy. Unfortunately, my experience with Scott Kalkwarf did the opposite. I would not recommend him to anyone seeking competent or committed legal representation.

Kerry Supplee Bob and Debbie are both nice people, but they were unable to provide adequate help in the case and we were made to look foolish during our hearing. There was no consult prior to trial, and no follow-up afterwards. Additionally, when I requested he remove himself as council, he tried charging me an additional $50. Ultimately, I was left with a $4,000 bill and no resolve. I dont even know where to begin, but I would advise to save yourself the hassle and money and seek council elsewhere. Otherwise, I am afraid you will be disappointed and left holding the bill. Save your time and money. Bob appears more interested in teaching at the university than being a practicing attorney. I wish nothing but the best, but I would never recommend to anyone. *As far as Bobs review below, he just mentions he disagrees with the review, but like with his representation, there is no explanation or clarity.

Karen Dieter I unfortunately was in a situation where I was grossly accused and ended up being arrested. I was appointed an attorney through the court, but I felt like I needed representation by an attorney that’s not loaded down with so many cases. Once she received all the pictures, footage, statements and medical report she built my case and sent it over to the prosecutor, after the prosecutor reviewed the case she presented, my case was thrown out. I feel so much better having worked with Greta and her team to bring this awful incident to a close. I don’t know what would have happened if it weren’t for Greta, it was a very scary situation for me and Greta made me feel so much better about everything while she worked my case. It took 32 days from day we chose to hire Greta to the judge dismissing all charges on the case. Jim Sheldon Do not expect timely communications, multiple emails and phone calls not returned. Do not expect them to know simple law without being guided. And, do not expect them to be prepared or to have attention to detail. Hired Jenni** in "November" for 2 13 year charges to be vacated. said "no problem" "we can do that 2-3 weeks" finally done in "March". They went to court half armed with info and ill prepared, delayed, then had to return the order for wording to match the law. And because they did not know simple law one couldnt go through. Months and months of wasted time. I got the impression it was set aside until they felt like dealing with it because of the ignored calls and emails. So, in a strong opinion, if you do not care about how long it takes, or being a priority to them, then hire them. If time is important and you want a commitment with results and attention to detail, then vigorously look elsewhere. wish there was 0 star.

We were lucky enough to have been recommended to John Kaufman at Becker Franklin, Rovang. John is a great person, and easy to talk to. He listens and then explains to you all the different ways in which he and his office can help you. He was up front about everything. How long the process can take, what all of our options are, what the fees are, etc. There is actually very little we had to do, which was a huge relief and weight off of our shoulders.
