Estebans Mexican Restaurant - Oak Harbor (WA)

5 /5 Jessica McLellan: Estebans is our go-to for Mexican food in Oak Harbor. We order to-go quite often and it is always hot and fresh. Tonight we opted to dine in and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly staff. I had the Enchilada Jalisco, the picadillo was a bit dry but the chicken and shredded beef were excellent. All 3 sauces were flavorful and complimentary to the meats. My husband had the carnitas tacos. A great deal and wonderful meal.

4 /5 ToobThis1: Went for Lunch on a Wednesday. My dad said hed been there and enjoyed it.. it was a first time for me. He ordered the shrimp enchiladas and he enjoyed them very much. I took a pic - his plate was huge! He took his leftovers home, said it was good enough to bring home. I got the Beef chimi on the lunch menu. Comes with rice &beans. I asked for the guacamole and sour cream to be on the side. Was assured they would be. I should have been more specific. Guacamole and SC were flopped on top of my shredded lettuce/salad so I could not use it. And I guess I thought a fried chimi would be crispy. It was not. It was so chewy all I could do was tear it apart with my fork and knife. It wasnt horrible but it wasnt great either. Meh.

5 /5 Jim H: Nice place to grab some Mexican food. Portions were good. Food was tasty. And server was friendly. The burrito was full of steak.

3 /5 Mary Spurgeon: My husband loves this place. Its hit or miss for me. The food can be inconsistent. The chicken tamales are not good. The chips and salsa are pretty good. I do like the tortilla soup but the spices can be extreme. Overall its a place worth a try. The service is topnotch. Prices are fair.

4 /5 Justin Brummage: A decent Mexican restaurant that offers a good variety on the menu. We had the shrimp tacos which were a bit messy and simple given their price, however they did have a nice buttery flavor. We also ordered one beef enchilada and one chicken enchilada lunch combo, but we ended up with two chicken enchiladas instead. Regardless, they were tasty, so we didn’t mind too much. The rice and beans had a bit of a hard crust on top, as if they had been left under the heat lamp for too long. The staff were friendly, and our food arrived quickly. Overall, it wasn’t the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever tried, but it wasn’t the worst either. The lunch menu had more reasonable prices, though the other options off the lunch menu were a bit overpriced.
