5 /5 jeremy brock: Okay, so this spot has been open for a year, and I’m honestly embarrassed it took me this long to check it out. But wow — worth the wait. Elias, the super warm and welcoming owner from Syria, makes you feel like you’ve just walked into his kitchen at home (if his home kitchen also happened to serve absolute magic in bowls).
I ordered the shawarma bowl with chicken and lamb (because why choose?), and I was so excited to eat it that I totally forgot to take a picture. Food blogger fail. The portion was so big, Elias practically had to body-slam the lid shut on the to-go container.
Flavor-wise? Unreal. Every bite was a mini party in my mouth, and the homemade hot sauce tied it all together perfectly. Seriously, don’t let the location scare you off — this place is a must.
