Dr. Mike Clark was not only professional and knowledgeable but also incredibly personable—its clear he genuinely cares about his patients’ well-being.
As someone who is self-pay and without dental insurance, I also appreciated the small discount offered for paying in full—it was a thoughtful gesture that didn’t go unnoticed. I’m confident I’ve found the right place for my ongoing dental care.
Dr. Nathan Oconnor, DDS - Yakima shannon Elam-Neer-Sparks: My hygienist- Hannah is the best! She is always careful to make sure I am comfortable and answers all of my questions. Very knowledgeable. Dr. OConnor is always smiling and he takes time to answer my questions and reassure me! These are definitely my dental peeps! I would recommend them to everyone!
SunRidge Oral Surgery - Yakima Deidre Dennis: Dr. Tew and his staff are AMAZING. Best dental surgery and after care services I have ever have. I only wish he offered every day dental care. Cannot recommend him enough. I had a tooth extraction and implant. Everything went exactly as promised. Had sedation (went to sleep) and had zero complications, no post-procedure bleeding or swelling. Didnt even need to take meds. From the front desk staff, to dental assistants to Dr. Tews care and after care, they are absolutely the best. You cannot go wrong with SunRidge Oral Surgery.
Moore Family Dental - Yakima Nancy Chott: I have gone to this dental office for 46 years through the retirement of Dr. Cheney and Dr. Holbrook, and now the hiring of Dr. Moore. All 3 dentists have been highly professional and knowledgeable. Their assisting staff has also been excellent. Going to the dentist is never a favorite thing to do however I find myself looking forward to the fun atmosphere amongst the staff and I really like the way Doctor Moore offers an explanation for all necessary dental procedures. They have definitely gained my trust and through all these years it continues to seem like Im going to visit a friend instead of a dentist. I highly recommend Dr. Moore as a dentist for all ages.
Selah Creek Dental - Selah Damon Lybeck: I stopped going to the dentist because the cleaning always hurt my teeth but decided to give this place a try. They took great care of me and didn’t hurt me. The service was incredibly thorough and they made sure to check every box! I’m happy I have them as my new dentist.
Reep Family Dental - Yakima Alan Vannoni: The staff over the phone was awesome and helpful, but they left out that if you can’t make your first appointment and you wanna reschedule it you can not, they do not reschedule new client appointments.
Apple Valley Dental & Braces - union gap - Union Gap Steve Carpenter: Walked 2 1/2 miles to my appointment. Im a senior citizen. I got there early and they said that I didnt confirm my appointment. I told them that they didnt tell me I had to confirm it. Then the receptionist told me that they were supposed to call and verify it which they didnt and the dentist in charge of my appointment isnt there. 5 mile walking round trip for nothing

Scenicview Dental - Yakima June Jung: I have to say this office had the least professional billing experience I’ve encountered—and Ive been to several dentists due to moving around frequently. When my insurance changed, I called ahead to confirm whether Id need to pay anything out of pocket for my routine checkup. The front desk staff took my insurance information, assured me theyd check, and promised to call me back before my appointment. However, I never received a call.
When I arrived for my appointment, the front desk staff informed me that they had looked into it online and found no difference between in-network and out-of-network coverage. Based on that information, I proceeded with my routine cleaning and even scheduled an appointment for my husband, who has the same insurance.
Weeks later, I received a bill: $100 for my cleaning and $450 for my husbands first-time checkup (not even a cleaning!). When I called to inquire, the staff vaguely explained that it might be due to the office being out-of-network. They said they would follow up with the insurance company and get back to me. Yet again, I received no follow-up. I had to call back myself, and they asked if I could contact the insurance company directly.
After speaking with my insurance company, I learned that the charges were due to the office being out-of-network, which caused the costs to exceed the allowed amount. When I asked how I could have known this beforehand, the insurance company explained that providers must check this information with them before the appointment to get an accurate breakdown.
While I understand that the insurance website breakdown was somewhat misleading, I expected the dental office to handle this as part of their routine practice. Im not aware of all the complexities with insurance, which is why I called ahead and provided my insurance details. That was the whole reason I reached out beforehand. This lack of professionalism and communication is frustrating.
On the positive side, the staff were friendly, and my routine checkup went well. However, the billing experience left much to be desired, and I dont feel confident returning for future visits.
