5 /5 Bret Whitaker: Burlington family dentistry is the best. The ladies at the front desk are friendly and greet you with a smile. I came in for a deep cleaning and my hygienist Beth was so gentle, I barely even felt it when she was getting me numb. She took really good care of me. I came back for several appointments with Dr. Wallace and he is awesome. He did 3 root canals and pulled a tooth all were painless. His assistant Mindy was really empathetic and put me at ease when I was really hurting. All the assistants that worked with Dr. Wallace are great. I definitely recommend this office.

5 /5 Molly Edwards: From the reception desk, assistant, dentist, and hygienist this is an AWESOME office. The staff is professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and proficient. I was able to get in the next day for an emergency visit and ended up becoming a regular patient. Instead of sending me to a specialist the staff and dentist assisted me in office and was able to meet my emergency and regular dental needs. The view in the treatment room is calming and the office has a warm feel. My dentist was warm, welcoming, and put me at ease. I was able to get my cleaning the same day as my emergency appointment and met the most down to earth and friendly hygienist. It has been a long time since I have seen such care in any office setting. =)

5 /5 Bryon Shuler: Had 4 teeth pulled starting and ending in just over an hour. The staff from reception to dentistry, are so good! I am a man of many questions and statements for the helpful staff full of their intuitive answers and smiling listening. Just got a partial denture done. I was expecting just the four missing on the left, but was pleasantly surprised to see two on the right completing my top teeth! Everyone I have worked with there are absolute angels and I couldnt be happier with an establishment! There was an error from the lab on my crown, so they are covering the cost for a new one! Truly some of the kindest people I have met in this world!

Although the staffing has changed over the years, I still feel the same way every single time I walk in even just to visit! I am always greeted with a smile and a genuine care for how I’m doing. Karen Gimnig Nemiah: After two procedures with Dr Bal, I changed doctors. As best I can tell, he is skilled surgically and he cares about his patients. I was willing to overlook his arrogance and the sterile feel of his office until a procedure failed and everything changed. I have no way to know whether Dr Bal made an error or whether I was just unlucky - every doctor has some bad outcomes. My problem was that once the bad outcome occurred, Dr Bal became defensive and unpleasant. When I asked him why the bad outcome had occurred, he said "I dont know. Thats up to you to figure out." When I complained that his post op instructions (lasting more than 2 weeks - for a recovery that he had told me would be 3-5 days) were impacting other elements of my health, he told me he didnt care about any of that, he was only interested in the part of my mouth he was working on. I could go on, but the point is that for me, skill and caring were not enough because when I needed it most Dr Bal appeared to be caught in a shame storm and prevented him from having an intelligent conversation. I hate to think what would have happened if I have blamed him, yelled at him, or been oppositional. All I did was ask him rational questions and push him for answers and he did all he could to shut me down. I didnt fully appreciate how much difference empathy and care make until I found an office that has them. I felt so much safer and calmer with a doctor who noticed my discomfort and took steps to reduce it. If you need a periodontic procedure, its not going to be fun, but it doesnt have to be cold and arrogant. My wish is for Dr Bal to grow his interpersonal skills. If he could build compassion, empathy, warmth and curiosity to the level of his surgical skill, he would be an ideal doctor. Sadly, this seems unlikely to happen. If "bedside manner" is at all important to you, or you prefer not to take the chance of a bad outcome being made worse by arrogant defensiveness, go somewhere else.

Andrew Crooks: Dr. Kim is my new favorite tooth fairy. This was easily the best dental experiences of my life, certainly the shortest and most pain free. Two wisdom teeth removed on the same side. Dr Kim had my upper fully erupted third-molar out in less than 60 seconds and the lower partial boney extraction seemed like it was 5 minutes or less. The tiny bone saw feels like an electric toothbrush, no pain felt whatsoever during or after. I gave the Doctor a few high fives when he was done pulling the teeth because he was so fast. Take the nitrous. Even if you are the most nervous person in the world, that stuff will make your anxiety evaporate in about 2 minutes. Youll get a little numbing agent on your gums and then 3 quick shots (barely felt them and only for a split second each) that will last you a good 6-8 hours. After those shots, you wont feel a thing. He even stitched the lower socket shut to help it heal and prevent complications. I have two more wisdom teeth that probably wont ever need to come out. If for some reason they do though, I will definitely be coming back to see Dr. Kim again! Great Oral surgeon!
