Thankfully, we found Ray at Cooksey’s. He was extremely considerate of my situation, understanding my needs, and aligning the service with my budget. Ray focused on the most critical repairs while providing a plan for the rest, ensuring everything is taken care of in a manageable way. I’m so grateful to have found a mechanic I can trust again—someone who prioritizes safety and honesty. Highly recommend!

1 /5 Angel Gomez Hummel: The owner exhibited extreme rudeness and performed unauthorized repairs on my vehicle without my explicit consent. The shop simply cleared the engine codes, which allowed me to drive about a mile home, but I was unable to drive my car the following day due to the same error because they never actually repaired the issue. To make things even worse, I was charged $800 for a simple battery replacement that would’ve taken me 10 minutes to do myself, but again, I was never called about the diagnosis, and they instead just performed the “repair” anyways, only for the battery to not be the issue at all in the first place. At best, this shop is just incompetent and can’t find simple issues on common vehicles that another shop was able to do for me in a few hours, and at worst, they are a manipulative and scummy business that rips off consumers to make a quick buck off the most vulnerable members of their community. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place at all costs!

5 /5 Charmayne Tubig: Ray did repairs on my granddaughters car. Running like new again. He went above and beyond what was expected. He couldnt find a certain part at local dealerships and auto parts but finally located one in Arlington. He drove up to Arlington on a Saturday and in the rain, pulled the part out of another similar vehicle. His prices are very reasonable. Very friendly. Informative. He knows his stuff. He shows you what he did to your car. Ivan, his only mechanic, is very knowledgeable and is tireless. He gets things done expeditiously. Highly recommended.

1 /5 Annalee Barlow: Extremely unprofessional and waisted my time when I needed them. I made an appointment with them on a Tuesday for 1pm on that Thursday. The man refused to take my info and told me hed get it at the time of the appointment. I should have known better. I called this morning to make sure we were still on. He told that he doesnt make afternoon appointments and had no record of our conversation. Seriously? I never make morning appointments. I am working. I am so disappointed. Guess you guys dont want or care for my business. At least I was able to dodge this bullet cause he probably would have not cared about my car enough to fix it either. Definitely still would have charged me an arm and a leg though. So much for trying to support this local business.
