1 /5 Jana Ashby: Thinking about how my grandma was diagnosed with ovarian cancer 24 years ago this month, I decided to look up Dr. Lyzanchuk since he was the one WHO MISDIAGNOSED HER when she was first having symptoms. He told her it wasnt anything and when she ended up in the hospital in Oregon in August 2000, thats when we found out she had ovarian cancer. She died in April 2001. This same doctor told us I was having a kidney infection or bladder infection in January 2000, when I was 14. I was 120 pounds on a Sunday before I got sick. Friday my dad took me to Memorial and I was 110 from continuous vomiting and I was in such pain I crawled or he carried me. Couldnt find anything but Lyzanchuk insisted it had to be bladder or kidneys. Nearly a week after I got sick, he said they would do exploratory surgery on me and if they couldnt find anything I was to be flighted to Harborview. They opened me up and found my appendix had burst 4 days prior and my organs were bring eaten away by the acids. I ended up spending all of January and part of February in the hospital thanks to him. Sorry for the long review but he nearly killed me and my grandma might have had a better chance of survival had he actually done his damn job. Im shocked hes still practicing. Hes lucky we never sued.
