1 /5 Rachael DeMarco: I was not greeted when I entered the salon. I waited for 10 minutes while the person working cashed someone out and went back to talking to her friends. I was so disgusted with being ignored as a paying customer (especially when I called before arriving) that I left. I went out of my way to get my threading done here and Im so incredibly disappointed that I was treated like I didnt matter. Dont go here unless you are friends with the person working and speak Spanish apparently then you will get service. Bad way to run a business in my opinion.

Foster Fanning: If you have a chance check out the 1895 Armitage-Herschell Historic Carousel at Ferry County Fairgrounds Park, Republic, WA. This is a fully restored, operational carousel. Back in 1958 it took a $2,000 loan, a bit of foresight and some good old fashion work by a group of local ranchers who purchased a County Fair style carousel with 24 hand-carved horses in Tacoma, loaded the contraption into the back of a wheat truck and hauled it over the Cascade Mountains to the foothills of the Kettle River Range and set it up on the Ferry County Fairgrounds. That was 1958. The traveling carnival merry-go-round was built by the Armitage-Herschell Company sometime in the late 1890’s during the “golden age” of wooden carousels”.
