Hoh Rain Forest - Forks (WA)

5 /5 Laurie Steinke: An exceptional experience. We arrived at the park at 7:30 am. The parking lot was empty. We hiked the Moss trail and only saw four other people. Then we went to the Spruce trail. It was a great trail. It was muddy and you need to watch for tree roots. The bathroom was open even when the visitor center was closed. We left at 10:30 and the lot was full. There were about 10 cars waiting to get in. They allow one in when one leaves.

5 /5 Casey M: Magical forest filled with huge mossy trees, ferns, wildflowers and wildlife. The drive into the park was beautiful, the visitor center was top notch and the surrounding trails were great. Highly recommend for anyone who loves nature and the great outdoors!

5 /5 D Anderson: Did the Hall of Mosses and Spruce Nature trail. Nicely maintained and short easy walks for kids. Almost didnt go because there were many signs along the way saying the parking lot was full and it was a 2 hour wait and to turn around. I decided to drive on so I could at least get a picture. When we got to the entrance the ranger said the signs were still up from Memorial Day weekend and they just didnt take them down.( it was now Wednesday) Thats disappointing because I was very close to turning around and I wonder how many people did.

5 /5 Sak Lee: Mystic forest with awe-striking beauty and wonder. The beauty of the scenery here cannot all be captured by a camera. I would recommend walking Spruce Nature Trail first, and if you still can go on, then Hall of Mosses.

This place is absolutely stunning — lush, peaceful, and full of ancient beauty that makes you feel like youve stepped into another world. The trails are well-maintained, the air is fresh and clean, and the entire forest radiates calm. It was very busy when we went, and we waited about 2 hours just to get into the park — but honestly, it was totally worth it. Once youre inside, the quiet and serenity make you forget the hustle of the entrance line. Every twist and turn of the trail offers another breathtaking view. Highly recommend making the trip — just bring your patience, snacks, and water, and prepare to be amazed.
