4 /5 A R: Its a parking lot with a boat ramp and beach. Nice place to look out onto the straight and see some birds.

3 /5 roxanne wilbur: Beautiful little beach. LITTLE, SHORT key words. You cant get a big wide sunset here as it dips behind the point first but you can get a very pretty one. It is a good place to just enjoy though as it was not far from John Wayne Resort Cabins where we stayed. So easy to get back and enjoy a rest before heading out further the next day. A number of people did start coming and just sitting as the sun sank. Like minds.

5 /5 Ebrahim Tahaei: This gem is located between Port Angeles and Sequim. Ironically, although it is not as recognized as the other famous place in Port Angeles, the hurricane ridge of Olympic National park, I found of its existence in one of hurricane ridges overlooks! If you go early, not many people are on the beach, so you can have a relaxed walk. In addition birds you might be able to see some see mammals as well. Highly recommend it!

Chul Lee: The waterfront and pier area is an amazing spot for a short walk, dining, and hanging out. The views, especially at night, are simply breathtaking. There are plenty of shops and restaurants to explore, and the area is impressively clean and modern. The paved roads make for an easy stroll, and there are some great wineries nearby to enjoy as well.

Fort Vancouver National Historic Site - Vancouver

D K: Lovely national historical site right across the river from Portland and off the Columbia River. There’s a self guided tour where you can walk in the old buildings of the fort. Next door is an air museum and there is a house where Ulysses Grant lived.

Vancouver Waterfront - Vancouver

Kim Kittinger: A great place to take a walk. Lots of views and photo ops. It would have been really nice to have access to a coffee and snacks via a takeout window or a cart. Its more upscale dining only.

Vancouver Lake Regional Park - Vancouver

Kevin Neeley: This place is beautiful. There was only a few people in the area. I walked the North trail to the bridge. Nature fills all the senses.

Amanda Moraes: Beautiful place, peaceful and stunning view. Great for all ages, the space counts with a playground for the kids, nice bars and restaurants and if you just want to relax and enjoy the view, there are a lot of seatings available. Some independent artists may be playing around which brings a more intimate atmosphere. Great place for relaxing.

Fort Vancouver Visitor Center - Vancouver

Vivian K: Finally, a real-life application of Euclidean mathematics! There is a great deal to learn here, from old cooking devices, to how many blacksmiths of the time would conduct their work. The wealth of knowledge here is incredible, and the re-enactors really understand the history.

Samantha Kaye: Absolutely beautiful water views. Tables and beaches every 20 ft or so. We went on a Monday and it was relatively busy but not overly loud or crowded. Also, very very dog friendly. The lady with the kayaks and paddleboards is also extremely kind and fair priced..

Vancouver Land Bridge - Vancouver

Cynthia Scott: This was my first time walking across the Vancouver Land Bridge. I found it to be quite interesting, to say the least! The Vancouver Land Bridge connects the Columbia River Waterfront to the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site. The native history along the bridge is not only beautiful, but it is also fascinating. It is part of the Confluence Project. I wish I had taken more photos/videos, but there is next time. I will be more prepared to do so, especially knowing what I do now. Do come check out this rich piece of art and history! The architecture and design of this bridge are just stunning, making it a must-see!

Wintler Community Park -

Mack Pines: Nice park along the river. Has a large and sandy beach, picnic tables, and restrooms that open during the warmer months. The Waterfront Trail begins here and you can walk or ride it four miles to downtown. Summertime can be a zoo with lots of people swimming and partying. Fall and winter is a great time to go if you want quiet and solitude broken only by the planes taking off and the occasional train.

Esther Short Park and Playground - Vancouver

Evan Davis: Great park with a playground if you have kids. Fun events throughout the summer down here. The trees are nice for shade on those hot days. Very clean. Bathrooms. Fountain area as well for the summer time.
