5 /5 Mack Pines: Nice park along the river. Has a large and sandy beach, picnic tables, and restrooms that open during the warmer months. The Waterfront Trail begins here and you can walk or ride it four miles to downtown. Summertime can be a zoo with lots of people swimming and partying. Fall and winter is a great time to go if you want quiet and solitude broken only by the planes taking off and the occasional train.

3 /5 Luda Sirosh: We like coming here but it needs a major update. There is so much potential to make this into a family friendly park. The road here crosses a railroad track. Sometimes you can get held up for a while, waiting for a train to cross.

5 /5 Kelly Ehrich: Love this park. My dog can run around on the beach with her long leash and then we walk the paved path along the river. Its beautiful. And especially nice when the weather is damp and you dont feel like getting your shoes dirty. There are always nice people as well. You can literally walk forever and get lots of exercise. Its fun to watch the planes, jets and helicopters as well. The train is annoying but my dog likes it so...

5 /5 john amland: Great place to walk along the river. Lots of sandy beach ⛱️ to get some sun, or build a sand castle. Its also dog friendly so bring your pup.

Captain George Vancouver Monument - Vancouver

Cynthia Scott: This monument was erected in 1992 in honor of Captain George Vancouver of the British Navy who did a 4 & 1/2 year voyage (1791-1795) of the Pacific Northwest with this reviews emphasis on the beautiful Columbia River area which took place in the year of 1792. Unfortunately I did not get a photo of the life size bronze statue of Captain George Vancouver himself which is located on the north side of City Hall, but I will be back in the area again very soon so I will be sure to add that update to this review. I found it interesting that Captain George Vancouver also discovered 3 very loved mountains here in the Pacific Northwest: Mt. Rainier, Mt. Saint Helens, and Mt Hood. The entire Vancouver Waterfront Columbia River area is absolutely breathtaking and is rich in history. There is so much to see. If you have not been here, you are in for a treat!

Pearson Air Museum - Vancouver

Andy Smith: If you are visiting Fort Vancouver, the whole site is worth visiting, including the visitor center and Pearson Air Museum. The air museum is quite small, but has some lovely planes and a great deal of information on historical escapades. I would definitely recommend walking (or driving) over here from Fort Vancouver. Walking over, you also get a good view of Pearson airfield.

Old Apple Tree Park -

Nokes T (Calapooyas): Its sad to find out the old tree died a few years ago. My 75 year old mother recently shared her childhood memory of visiting the old tree on weekend road trips.

Beaver Marsh - Vancouver

Linda Wenzinger: This is a beautiful little park with a small loop trail and a few shoots off the main trail. I was there around 11:00 am on Friday and no one else was there. There is no way to drive into the park so you need to park on the street in the neighborhood outside of the park

Frenchmans Bar Regional Park - Vancouver

S P R: Such a great spot to set up your own grill & chill! $3 entry fee, usually packed on the weekends but plenty of parking during weekdays. Great long winding paved path along the river line for strolling, roller skating, jogging, cycling, etc. A favorite for families and dog parents!
